Boy that went fast. It seems like just the other day when we celebrated New Years at sea last year. We'll be home asleep come midnight this time. We don't have any whiz bang trips planned this year so far. Probably going to take a few road trips though. Hope our health holds out, that's the unknown....

Marijuana becomes legal Monday here in California. It actually comes with more restrictions than before. Medical marijuana was pretty wide open with few regulations for the last 20 years. Boy has that changed with legalization! lol It's all for the good though. Things will find the right balance as it evolves.

I plan to stay in and maybe take a brief trip to visit with friends in my `church groups' its going to be very cold over the weekend -50 w/c like years ago.

 

The thing about a New Year is that if it was a good year, the one before, one can hope for another good year.
But, if the old year sucked, one can always look on the new year as "it can't get any worse" and get a do over, so to speak.

Shooter had a good year. He's counting on another good year. Probably, 2019 will suck .........

It's been a great year for the United States. It's been a year of healing after the previous eight dreadful years. The stock market is way up. Jobs numbers are great. We're no longer hamstrung by so many pointless regulations. The tax code has been greatly improved. We've had many, many, many great Judges put on the bench including one to the Supreme Court. More to come hopefully. TPP is no longer a threat hanging over our heads. The destructive elements of NAFTA are being addressed. Illegal immigration is down. MS13 gang members are being thrown out of the country.

Like all decent Americans, I too hope 2018 will be a great year.

This 31st was the anniversary of my dad dying last year and I went to the funeral of my ex brother-in-law who died this week from lung and brain cancers...and it's freezing, icy and snowing....hopefully, 2018 will be better.

2017 went by so quickly. It was quite the mixed bag but more good then bad in the end. I hope this year brings with it some better times.
