Weinstein was just one man who fucked over many women until one finally stood up and said something loud enough.
In Wasserman Schulz case you are talking about a good % of the citizens in our country. They think belonging to a political party gives members the right to break the law and get rewarded for it. We will never change that thinking as long as there are political parties and people who care more about them than they do the citizens.

Trump Accuser Demands Release Of Documents On All His Sexual Assault Allegations
A woman who accused President Donald Trump of unwanted groping has subpoenaed all documents held by his presidential campaign about any harassment and assault allegations against him, BuzzFeed News reported Saturday.

Summer Zervos, a former contestant on “The Apprentice” and one of many women who came forward during the campaign to accuse Trump of harassment or assault, initiated the subpoena as part of her lawsuit against the president for defamation. Zervos decided to sue Trump in January months after the then-presidential candidate denied the allegation and dismissed all of his accusers as liars.

In her bid to establish that Trump “defamed” her, Zervos’s subpoena aims to prove how Trump deliberately tried to discredit her and the other accusers.

The subpoena, which is liable to renew public attention on the numerous allegations against Trump, sets the stage for another legal and political headache for the president.

Zervos’ subpoena requires him to turn over all documents “concerning any accusations that were made during Donald J. Trump’s election campaign for president, that he subjected any woman to unwanted sexual touching and/or sexually inappropriate behavior.” The order would cover documents about Zervos, as well as other women who accused Trump of groping, including, but not limited to, Jessica Leeds, Mindy McGillivray, Rachel Crooks, Natasha Stoynoff, Temple Taggart, Kristin Anderson, Cathy Heller, Jill Harth, and Jessica Drake.

Zervos’ legal team, which includes nationally renowned women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred, issued the subpoena in March, but it only entered the court record in September.

Trump’s attorneys tried to get the suit dismissed in March on the grounds that thepresident is immune from being sued while in office. They also tried to dismiss the subpoena in July, arguing that it “seeks wholly irrelevant information intended solely to harass the president.”

During Trump’s campaign, he vowed to sue the women who accused him of assault and harassment, but he has not followed through on the promise.

The subpoena comes to light at a moment of heightened public sensitivity to the impunity given to many powerful men allowing them to sexually harass and assault women. Famed Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein was fired by the company he founded and expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences after the New York Times reported earlier this month that Weinstein had settled numerous accusations of sexual harassment out of court. The report prompted a flood of additional allegations against Weinstein, including claims that he physically assaulted women and forced them to perform sex acts.

The allegations against Weinstein bear an eerie resemblance to the accounts of many Trump accusers.

At least 16 women have publicly accused Trump of forcibly attempting to kiss, grope and have sex with them. Many of those women came forward in October 2016 following the leaked 2005 video of Trump bragging to “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush that he freely touches women without their consent, infamously stating that he can “grab them by the pussy.”

Zervos said that in 2007 Trump summoned her to meet about professional matters on several occasions and then kissed, groped and humped her against her will.

It is characteristic of you that you are using Harvey Weinstein's crimes as an excuse to bash liberals. The New York Times is one of America's most notable liberal newspapers. In the Sunday op ed section there are three articles condemning Harvey Weinstein.

Wealth, power, and fame make a man desirable to women, even when the man is physically unattractive, as Harvey Weinstein is.

I have difficulty understanding why a man with those characteristics would force himself on women who are not attracted to him, when many women would be attracted.

I never liked Hugh Hefner. Nevertheless, women have not come forward complaining about him. I suspect that he knew when to make moves on a woman and when not to, and that he took "No" for an answer.

Changes in sexual behavior and mores happen for reasons outside of politics.

I have not been able to confirm this on the internet, but Michael Medved, a movie critic who criticizes the mores of Hollywood, has said that in 1969 a Gallup survey indicated that most Americans thought that sex outside of marriage is always wrong. By 1974 that had changed dramatically.

Richard Nixon was president during this time. The change did not come because President Nixon was having televised sex orgies in the White House catered by Hugh Hefner.

Since the 1970's there has been a growing awareness that male sexuality is often exploitative, and sometimes violent. Before the sexual revolution that was commonly understood.

Courtney Love was 'eternally banned' by talent agency after Harvey Weinstein comment

Courtney Love announced on Saturday that she was “eternally banned” from a leading Hollywood talent agency for a 2005 comment she made about disgraced executive Harvey Weinstein.

Editors at TMZ unearthed footage of Love being interviewed by reporter and The Do-Over actress Natasha Leggero over a decade ago. In the clip, filmed on the red carpet at U.S. TV network Comedy Central’s Roast of Pamela Anderson, Natasha asked The People vs. Larry Flynt star Courtney for advice for young actresses like herself trying to make it in Hollywood.

Love answered unsurely, “Ummm, I’ll get libeled if I say it,” but then after a pause, she continued, “If Harvey Weinstein invites you to a private party in the Four Seasons (hotel), don’t go.”



The Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California is a favourite luxury spot for top acting talent and industry executives when they are staying in Los Angeles.

Love responded to the clip’s release on Twitter on Saturday, writing, “Although I wasn’t one of his (Harvey Weinstein’s) victims, I was eternally banned by (talent agency) CAA (Creative Artists Agency) for speaking out against #HarveyWeinstein #rape”. She also linked her post to the footage of her comment posted by bosses at TMZ.

Leggero, who stars in U.S. TV network Comedy Central show Another Period, also responded on Twitter on Saturday, writing, “I forgot that Courtney (Love) told me to stay away from Harvey Weinstein 12 years ago.”

 

This sounds exactly like a rerun of the Bill Clinton story. Trump is smarter than Clinton so the outcome will not be the same.
All Trump has to do is tell the truth if he is put under oath and it will end. That is the part that Clinton could not do, tell the truth.
