A recent experience of mine where a partner tried covering up a lie by blaming me for an std originating from someone she knew! Now I have a polygamous lifestyle and made no secret of it but I get tested regularly and was std free as I always am because I am careful and I believe the people I am having sex with. Perhaps I should revise that?

It leaves a nasty taste in the mouth though!

I would possibly revise the trusting nature of believing when someone says they dont have an std. They could possibly have one and not say out of embarrassment or simply not knowing they have one.

No, but not having (had) many partners helps both in decreasing the risk of getting any and of being accused of having them.

I haven't had that happen (thank goodness!) however, some cunt tried to tell people that I had an STI because I fucked someone that she heard had HPV!! Bitch that is not how it works! To this day I've tested negative for all STIs (even HSV1 & 2, by some miracle since it seems the majority of people have one or the other strain). Looking at the calendar it's close to testing time again!

 

Re STDs I recall maybe 30 yrs ago my wife's doctor told her she was positive for Syph, which she claimed not possible unless from me, and who knows I do use toilet seats all over the place. So we went to our family Doc and was tested for everything, and it came back negative for both of us.. He said some of the tests for STD, (back then I don't know about today) have often given false positives.

 

Yes! And it was cause for my second STD scare. I got hit up by a guy I had dated who wanted to see me again. During conversation he mentioned he had contracted and said they the person he suspected told him he was with me before. I showed him my last screening tests to prove that to be a lie. I’ll admit I was a drunk and didn’t always have the best judgement but I was and always be selective in who I see and take precautions. Probably one of the reasons I just stay home now.

 

Sort of. My doctor found a thing in my throat and said it probably means I have HPV. This was a decade into my relationship with my girlfriend, so if I have it she does to. When I got home, I told me girlfriend and she gave me a sarcastic "thanks..." like it had to be me giving it to her and not the other way around. Though that is probably the case.

 

Yes. It wasn't true, and her questioning was elliptical and oblique, and she later apologised for asking, but the relationship did not recover.

 

People can get tested have proof and show you. But they could have had sex unprotected a day or even hours after being tested with someone infected. You can never be too sure. Also some sti's or std's do not even show up at first like HIV or like with herpies you have to be having a breakout from what you read about it. So how safe can one really be? I guess best thing to do is wear protection but it never feels as good i guess. Blaming someone for it though is neither here nor there. Cause pinpointing whom it came from is impossible if there has been multiple partners or partners one does not know about. The blame game is not a fair game when it comes to sex and sti's we all take risk if your unprotected ever.

I am meticulous about testing so anyone who knows me or even just someone that knows me would know that such a rumor was abjectly bullshit and would make sure that everyone else knew so.

 

As am I but last year was busy and stressfull and I trusted my partner and was honest about my partners but she lied and lots of people had to get tested.
I am.not sure that is not a criminal offence to failure to notify....anothee one for Christine!

Why is there such a stigma over STDs? People dont get all judgmental when you catch the FLU or a stomach virus. You just get some sympathy, take some medicine and wait to get better.
Catch an STD and suddenly you are someone from a leper colony. Yes, sometime people lie about their condition, or they don't know or even have any syptoms, and sometimes safer sex doesnt work. So many factors can go into it. You can sex it up with 100 people and be good but the next one will get you.

Thankfully most can be cured but there are a few that must be treated for a lifetime.
If we take away the stigma maybe more people would more inclined to better moniter their health.

I have gotten the crabs twice and given it to two other people. It is tough to know you have it until it is too late before passing it on. I got in on my chest hair since I shave below. I shave my chest now.
