    I looked up some official definitions, expecting them to be very musty and old fashioned, but they're not as bad as I expected. Merriam Webster says "sexually motivated phenomena or behavior." I like how broad that is. It includes anything from fucking to combing your hair to try to look attractive. Dictionary.com says: "the instinct or attraction drawing one sex toward another, or its manifestation in life and conduct." Again, including just about any sexual act and the attraction that leads to it; however it assumes heterosexuality. Though both kind of use the word to define itself in a round-about way. But the Oxford Dictionary gets my prize for that: "sexual activity, including specifically sexual intercourse". So sex is sex, including sex. Brilliant.

    How about "any physical act that elicits sexual pleasure". Still kinda using the word to define itself, but I wanted to specify the type of pleasure. And I threw in "physical" because only fantasizing doesn't seem like sex to me. Unless you can cum just from fantasizing. But I wouldn't call that "sex", I'd call that "awesome".

    I'm really kind of at a loss here. I think it's sex anytime a penis enters any orifice of another person's body. If that's true, then fellatio is sex and if fellatio is sex, then cunnilingus must be sex. Masturbation, I don't think so. I think it takes two (or more). A girl getting fingered doesn't seem like sex, but that would mean that a hand job isn't sex. And sex and making love aren't the same thing. Making love doesn't necessarily require penetration of any kind and it doesn't require orgasms, so I guess making love isn't necessarily sex. And you can certainly have sex without making love.
