Are you an impulsive person, or are you more cautious?

When it comes to anything financial, I tend to be cautious, but otherwise, I can sometimes be very impulsive. My family never knows when I am going to come home with a surprise.

The most impulsive thing I ever did was I bought a house without taking the hubby with me to look at it. I was there, it was a really good buy, and I had to jump on it and make an offer before someone else beat me to it. So I did!

When I came home and told him I had bought a house, the only thing he wanted to know was if it had a garage for him to tinker around in.

 

As a general rule, I'm not very impulsive, preferring to weigh the plusses and minuses of an act or situation whenever time permits a halfway decent analysis but there are occasions where circumstances and drink throw that concept on the trash heap.

I remember an occurrence where I had prearranged to meet a bi couple at a bar - we flirted and played pool, and I ended up getting into their car and going to their house - could have been a bad move. After the fact, I told this to a very close bi couple that I regularly played with, and they asked me if I was fucking crazy (but in a nice way... lol).

When my dick isn't concerned, I do tend to think things out better.

 

My entire life is on a schedule and I don’t like it being messed with. It drives my husband nuts because he’s extremely impulsive. I’m also a lot better with money, discipline, and self control.

 

People think that I am impulsive, but I have usually done a great deal of preparation before announcing a decision.
Some people also think that I’m repulsive, they are correct.

I tend to think things through more carefully now that I’m older. When I was younger basically everything I did was on impulse, that didn’t always work out for me. YOU SAY SOMETHING, YOU F#@&

 

I bought a vintage Nintendo Entertainment System from Amazon during the stay at home order last year.
Super Mario Bros. 1, 2 and 3.

It was the bees knees for about two weeks. Now I'm pretty sure it's just a spider meet-n-greet.

 

I make decisions on impulse, I research the fuck out of the execution stage. So it’s a balanced approach.

 

Where do I begin?

 

I’m both. I am definitely a control freak about things that are important. But I’m impulsive about fun. I’m that friend who corrupts you and gets you into trouble and makes you love it. My philosophy is as long as it’s not hurting anyone, take the risk and do the thing, because nobody ever has fond memories about going home early and falling asleep.

The most impulsive thing I ever did was get on a plane and fly to another country to see a man I met on the internet. Yea it could have been bad. But it was awesome. And I plan on doing it again lol

 

I am only impulsive when it cums to sex.
I'll suck or fuck at the sound of a zipper.

 

I wouldnt consider myself impulsive. Try to manage my money wisely before purchasing or doing anything. Wanted to buy a new TV recently but then realized I lost my job and have other credit cards to pay off. It can wait. If I went on a trip, I planned in advance. As of my house. I bought it via VA loan.

Maybe being not impulsive id because i have been single all my life, not sure.

I have always felt like the ATM machine of my family. Told family members "while your spending, im saving"

 

My world is to wierd, I don't know if it is impulsive, or more reactionary. Order and stability have become just words in the dictionary. Today went like most, find myself doing or dealing with something morning did not hint to. By this evening, the day seemed like a week.
Of course I am losing my mind, I see things to clearly and all the dots connect, in the strangest ways, but it makes sense. I don't get surprised, but the frustration is surprising. So in that sense I do get impulsive, for I have red line, when nearing it, I stop whatever I was doing, and distance myself with something new to do. There is always plenty to do, and never seem to get caught up, or find satisfaction when something does get finished.
I don't know or consider it impulsive, but I fight with myself. Things have changed in major ways, for me, but I feel I am still the same, look at things the same, so I tend to think I am the same, and I'm comfortable with that. That is the problem, I realize, know, and understand, thing will not ever be, "the same". So am I ignoring what I don't like, or just pushing on, trying to be positive and just take it as it comes. Which may explain my disconnection with order and stability.
I learned young, and embraced the knowledge that constant change is here to stay, that we all, like it or not, are perpetual students. It is once around the ride, and Still believe the day I stop learning is the day I start dying. I have endured the best of the best and the worst of the worst, and learned from it, and would carry on accepting you can't change what was, only what might come. I am a cancer surviver, and have plenty to be thankful for.
I guess these last 5 years or so, have taken many unforeseen turns, and as clearly as I see what's in front of me, it's been unexpected, and there seems to be a growing distance in many aspects, which I have not been comfortable with, and so far my deranged humor gives me some perspective, impulsive, sometimes, but in reality maybe more an escapism.

 

I used to be impulsive when I was younger but now with my job I really can’t be.

 

You so could hook me up with it I would so go and buy a copy of zelda and Metroid rent a soda machine and buy a pib of Code Red and spend a few days play in and if finish those I should get Pirates! And Final Fantasy 1.

 

I used to be way too impulsive growing up, and even more so as a teenager. Thankfully certain experiences caused me to get wise, and learned how lucky I was it didn't go to bad places.
After that, I turned into a very critical thinking, cautious, and planned person in every area of my life...especially finances, debt, and savings for the future.
I do allow myself to have impulsive moments every now and then when there is some control.

 

I'm very impulsive when it comes to things like outings. If I have an activity planned I'll spend every moment leading up to it trying to think of a way out. I'm very spur of the moment with family fun time.

 

i'm too impulsive with my mouth - there are definitely times - and this happens more as i get a bit older - note - not old - but older - that I really do wish i'd engage the brain before the mouth gets me into trouble

 

I am not really impulsive. I like to think about things, know all pros and cons before deciding. I am used to always making decicions, and often fast choices. So I may seem really impulsive but most often my brain has allready been processing it.

With random daily things I do enjoy being impulsive
My biggest problem is still my lust for adventure. My mind keeps giving me ideas to move to new places, buy new businesses and do crazy things. Still the reality of my responsibility towards my family and societys expectations makes me live an ordinary life.
