I hate portable telephones. I love my computer. But, I refuse to carry my family and friends around with me. Isn't it normal to leave your technology at home when you go out? The new generation don't even know what it is to be alone with their thoughts. Haven't telephones become an extension to our brain, that we can't live without?

 

Oh I can definitely live without cell phones but I dont know if my family could live without me not having one. I'll be on the top of a forty foot lader and my wife will call me to ask me when I'll be home.

 

I know exactly what you mean. I face the fury of my family all the time because I "forget" to take it with me. Or it's "not charged".

 

Simple solution......take it with you but have it on mute and check it a couple of times a day.

It will come one day that it will be you that will need it and it will dawn on you that it's at home.

Believe me, that's already happened, but.........I don't know, I just can't get into it. As for the aps, I've seen there's a way you can have them on your computer. I guess I'll settle for that.

 

See what you do is find an area that has no service. I go to the mountains and I tell every one to call 911 if theres an emergency

 

I threw my cell phone away years ago. When you have one people actually expect you to answer it.
I don't even answer my home phone. It is for out going calls only.
I communicate over the computer. I am not going to talk on any type of phone.

 

I'm absolutely lost without my cell phone . It's actually like a part of my body. All of my avatars I take with my cell phone.

 

A dislike of technology doesn't make you abnormal. Discussing that dislike on a forum in and adult website is a bit more problematic...

I hate when someone calls and doesn't leave a fucking message.
Then when you finally get in touch with them the assholes say " your a hard man to get in touch with ".

So I've been without a cell phone since retirement in 2011. Today we're going to T-Mobile
and getting his and hers iphone 10's. Ya gotta have one to monitor cameras, and even answer the door.
Making dinner reservations - they text you these days. sheesh. Pretty sure I'll hate the damn thing.

2 iphone x's, $2700.00 plus 84/month. To carry around like a dog collar.

You can even keep your old number. Just like you can even keep your old doctor...

 

They are destroying young lives. Something has to change, teen suicides are up and psychologists think cell phones play a role.

 

Have you seen the studies done when cell phones are taken away from kids?
Seems like we have a history of trying to destroy our own kids.

Smartphones are computers that can be life savers, direction givers, personal assistant and many more things.

Phones aren't the problem, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook are.
