So, I matched with a girl on Tinder a few days ago. She's 18, and I swiped because I thought she's cute, and at the very least we could chat a bit. After talking for a while we confirmed we were both looking to keep things casual, and settled on a fwb being ideal, and discussed meeting up. Then she realized that we know eachother, she's one of my friends sister-in-law, and we have actually met a few times over the past five or so years.

So, would that we weird, hooking up with someone you've known since they were like 13 or 14? I didn't recognize her or realize who she was when I swiped, and she's an adult. But still looking for an opinion or two on the mater.

 

It gives you stuff to talk about and something in common. I assume she's not close enough for it to become an issue if things don't work out. So I'd say, enjoy.

 

I can think of reasons more urgent to keep you from dating her. Just have fun, the two of you.

I only suggest treat it a bit more carefully because if it does not end well then I might be awkward in future meetings with her or to those known by the two of you.
In some ways it could potentially make for a good long term relationship if you click. Some of those situations actually work out well if she is the right person for you.
So enjoy it, just treat her nicely and if it does not work out end it nicely on good terms, that's it no harm done.
