I notice that XNXX (and other MGP sites) encourage users to embed movies on their own sites.

Does that mean it would be okay to scrape large amounts of content off XNXX to power my own MGP site?

If anyone knows the answer I'd love to hear from you.

I don't have an official answer. I would guess that it depends partly on just how much you mean by "large amounts," and partly on you not obscuring the fact that the videos are actually hosted here, not by you. (They don't want you to simply re-create the entire website and steal all their traffic, do they.)


As a computer illiterate who doesn't know how embedding works, these might be redundant objections. I don't think anyone has a problem with you enabling people to watch an XVideos clip through your website. I know of countless porn websites that already do that.

OP probably has a grudge. Might be a content owner himself, pissed at finding his stuff here.

 

The owners and/or admins would have to be contacted. I know of a site that out right stole content - stories, pics, and our forum conversations. They created accounts using our user names and then copied our threads.

They are no longer in business.

 

At least use a spinning program to change the content.

 

Try it and find out, but remember there are a lot of copyright issues.

I'm assuming the OP is referring to videos on the main XNXX site - I don't know exactly what the copyright issue would be, but I'm guessing that the owners of XNXX, who have paid for the servers that hold the content, would be upset at someone else making a profit by piggy-backing off them.

As far as forum posts and (especially) written fiction goes, I'd be really prissy, and get my panties all in a bunch if someone was taking content that'd I'd written here, and using it elsewere - even though I post it for free here, I'd like it to remain here.

 

I know you were trying to be helpful, and I'm sure you said some useful things here, but somehow, I'm hung up on the idea of your panties in a bunch. :excited:

 

The CGI art and stories I've written are for the private use and consumption of the users of XXNX forum and are not authorized for use or re-publication on any other site without prior permition from me. They are copyrighted original works and are my sole property, posted here by me for the public to enjoy from this site free of charge. I would and do take a very dim view of other sites, especially pay sites, re-posting my work and will initiate legal action if I find any who have. A few sites do have my permition to post my work, some similar or the same as what is found here, but they are very few. In fact, they are exactly four at the moment, and one site under construction that will be posting exclusive content in the future.

That doesn't mean I wouldn't produce content for another site, but I must post it there of my own accord or be asked for it's use before posting. Not afterward.

I'm very sure other content providers feel much the same as I do about their property and where and who gets use of it.
