(CNN)Federal judge Timothy J. Kelly sided with CNN on Friday morning, ordering the White House to reinstate chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta's press pass immediately.

The ruling was an initial victory for CNN in its lawsuit against President Trump and several top aides. The suit alleges that CNN and Acosta's First and Fifth Amendment rights are being violated by the suspension of his press pass.
Kelly did not rule on the underlying case on Friday. But he granted CNN's request for a temporary restraining order. And he said he believes that CNN and Acosta are likely to prevail in the case overall.

Speaking outside the court, Ted Boutrous, an outside attorney representing CNN, said "this is a great day for the First Amendment and journalism."

Most leading journalists and most of the mainstream media hate Trump. Now it will be open season on him.

Well, shooter was wrong.
He didn't think CNN would actually go to court because they knew it would be a loser.
Even though this judge only issued a TRO, shooter concedes he was wrong.

Acosta is still not a reporter and should be fucking fired.

 

All Jim Acosta was doing was drawing attentention to Trump's lies and exhaggerations. During the McCarthy Era reporters reported Joe McCarthy's lies without comment. This led millions of American to think that McCarthy was telling the truth.

I get much of my news from National Public Radio. They not only report what Trump says. They explain why much of it is not true.

 

The intern beater was inserting himself into the story, making it about him.
Again.
Thats what he does.

That is not reporting.
It's acting.

 

John Kennedy would have had fun with a reporter like that. Bill Clinton and Barack Obama probably would have too.

 

Now that the White House press corps knows what it can get away with, I hope they turn press conferences in to a We Hate Trump Festival. Trump deserves no respect and should not be shown any. Reporters should compete with each other to show the most contempt for Trump.

They should ask questions like, "Now that Melania is in her forties to you intend to dump her like you did your other two wives, even though they were younger than you were?"

If the gaping hinds of flyover country don't like it, that is just too bad. The larger number of Americans who oppose Trump too will be delighted.

 

Let him in an never call on him again.
Let CNN know their reporter will not be acknowledged till they replace their current representative.
Simple!!

I'm surprised that the court ruled in cnns favour. Is the White House his house? So it's his house?

 

I have some problems with this. I believe in the rights of reporters to ask the hard questions and to even press for a better answer. However, there has to be some form of proper behavior here. When he was fussing with the intern, he was out of line in my opinion.
