There's this girl at work I've grown to be fond of, she's rather beautiful. I feel comfort when I'm around her, her laugh and smile warms my heart. I just can't help but smile when I see her smile. I clocked out at 11pm to end my shift like usual, but for some reason I didn't want to go home. I just wanted to stay there..with her. And I did, until she went home at 1am.

I actually worked up the courage to ask for her screen name, it sounds lame but between school and her school plays, she works maybe one or two days out of the week and I don't get to see her otherwise. Internet, hopefully not for long, is our only means of communication. I've always admired her from afar, like a typical shy, self-conscious, pessimistic person would.

So, while thinking of deepening our friendship, to get to know each other more and possibly, hopefully, form a relationship out of it, this little deuce fell into my head so I decided to write it and share it with my fellow XNXX members.

Love is selfish, blind and filled with hate and pain. We're happy being around people we love, why? It makes us feel better, we want them to love us in return so we can be happy. If they don't? Depression sets in, self-mutilation, suicide, drugs, alcohol, all come from the pain that love delivers.

So why do we still pursue love? Who knows. Love makes us do stupid stuff. We have no purpose in life, we live to die, that's it. It's up to us to make every moment last, it's up to us to make every second count. Take chances, it's better to know rather than looking back and wondering what could've been.

That was deep...But I think you should perk up a bit and go for it...I doubt she'll turn you down...keep your head up.

 

You're young, don't be afraid to live your life and enjoy every minute of it...:rose:
The years go by so fast...Take some chances and see what happens.....If nothing else you may make a great friend out of it......:mrgreen:

Many say love is something that can not be defined, and yet I think the author M. Scott Peck defined it perfectly: "Love is the heartfelt desire on the part of one human being to help another human being reach their maximum potential in life."

We are opposites when it comes to how we see life. I seek the light and the lighter side while still relishing in the mist of that which is beyond our conscious existense.

On the other hand I have come to admire the depth of the darkness you can plunge to.

But do us both a possible favor this time. Send her all of what you have just written. Not just the darkness but also the lightheartedness and lightheadedness she makes you feel.

Now I'll feel terrible if it actually does kill you to make you smile, but take the risk just this once.

 

I don't think I can tell her just yet how I feel. Regardless of the reaction, I do plan to tell her. I would really like to create something between us

 

Go for it Kurai and remember opposites to attract. In my experience it is worth both the risk and the pain.

Kurai, having been there too many times myself (ZYZX original) I know that when you really love someone, you don't even care whether they return it or not. But if they dont but have become close friends, it hurts like hell when they turn to someone else and still want the old friendship with you. But it is nothing to mutilate yourself about. Be happy that you love them and can see and be with them. Then one magic day, maybe a very few times in your life you will suddenly go absolutely crazy and in love over someone, and hope to hell they reciprocate. When I was 65 and fell in love deeply and at very first sight of my absolutely beautiful talented 15 yr old student I could only love her in silence. She never knew. I had the privelege of her company for 3 more years, and even wrote a song with her, which gave me weeks of her company. I wrote her recommendations for admission to a music college in Boston. and hope to see her again one day. You see that person and she becomes your sun at least for a while, they say six to nine months, then it settles into warm lasting love.

Dont be shy, she must like you or she wouldn't have let you stay with her. Dont be pushy, either. Best way is let her lead but let her know you will always be there.
