Then thing the GOP never addresses when talking about cutting SS and Medicare is, how will that affect the economy. SS money goes right back into the economy. Cuts to Medicare and Medicaid mean more money being spent out of pocket for co-pays and medications. Again, that's money taken out of the economy.

The ONLY thing that will stem the flow of undocumented workers is to come down, HARD, on the employers who hire them. That's never going to happen, because someone has to pick the crops, work in the slaughterhouses and scrub the toilets in hotels and office buildings; you know, all those shitty jobs that US citizens don't want to do for the shitty wages they pay.

 

And where is your outrage for the 640,000 American kids "torn from the bosom of their mother"?
Cause 20% of those kids will never be reunited with their family or adopted, few will attend college, many will fall into drug use and poverty and have a greater chance of violent, early death. Not to mention the sex abuse.

If it makes you feel better to say stuff like this, I guess it serves some purpose, but it's just like saying we shouldn't do anything for refugees until we take care of homeless vets. If you were really concerned about American foster children and homeless vets, you would have spoken up long before we ended up with 12,000 kids in prison camps.

Maybe you can write your Congressman and ask him to do something about it, but a lot of those 640,000 foster kids are receiving Social Security payments, and he's probably busy trying to figure out a way to end that.
