You guys should have been watching Joy Reid a little while ago sitting in for Chris Hayes on All In.

She addressed Trump's "shithole" comments in a way that most people will have no problem understanding at all. She was visibly pissed off. But not furious. Hard to think when you are furious. Not enraged where she was raising her voice or making unfounded accusations. Pissed off as in ok if you want a fight now you got one. And the first poor Republican she encountered next got just destroyed. Because other than around here racism is not ok.

And actually,the only thing I am going to be willing to give you on this is my word for it. But I watch a lot of TV and think I can see something different when I see it. And I just saw it.

Oprah Tells FOX News Host ‘All White People Have To Die’, Her Reasoning Is Unbelievable


Oprah Winfrey made some shocking comments in a recent interview with BBC, when she alluded that the only reason someone wouldn’t like President Barack Obama is if they were a racist.

When the interviewer asked Oprah if she thought people were against Obama because he was black, she responded, “There’s no question.”

She went on to say that she thinks “there’s a level of disrespect for the office that occurs. And that occurs in some cases because he’s African American. There’s no question about that. And it’s the kind of thing no one ever says, buy everybody is thinking.”


Apparently Oprah isn’t aware that her comments don’t set her apart. Instead, they group her with a slew of Obama supporters that claim that disapproval of the president stems from either religious or racial discrimination. And she clearly hasn’t paid attention to stations like MSNBC or “celebrities” like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

She certainly isn’t alone in her accusations, but continued on to make a statement about racisms in general, stating that “As long as people can be judged by the color of their skin, problem’s not solved.”

So when does Oprah see racism coming to an end?

“There are still generations of people, older people, who were born and bred and marinated in it, in that prejudice and racism,” Oprah said, “and they just have to die.”


That’s right, according to Oprah, when everyone who ever had a racist ancestor dies, America will be set free from all of its problems.

Stephanie Hamill, advisor to the National Diversity Coalition for Trump, defended Trump to the panel, saying “I respect our laws and I understand we can’t allow everybody to come in,” also saying that the United States is “the most generous country in the world,” statements she could barely get out over the loud protests of the other panelists.

Washington Post writer Jennifer Rubin responded, “Okay, number one, we do not have open borders. If she’d actually talk to any real people who actually work for the Immigration and Customs Agency, she would find out that in fact we have fewer border crossings than we have. Our borders are more secure than ever.

''Thanks to Trump,” Hamill said. Rubin shot back, “Excuse me, it’s my turn! You be quiet while I speak! Secondly, we do not have system by which anyone can become a citizen or anyone can be here and it’s circular logic to say we are a nation of laws, therefore these people have to go. They don’t have to go. First of all, Congress can make sure that they stay here permanently, secondly the president can extend that, as you say Joy, Haiti, which he just called a shithole, is not a place that these people can return to, particularly after devastation and some very poor policies on behalf of the United States and others.”

Joy Reid was forced to backtrack racially charged comments on a commentary from conservative writer David French.





MSNBC star Joy Reid was forced to backtrack racially charged comments on a conservative commentary after they were mocked on Twitter by users across the political spectrum.

It all started when Reid responded to a piece written by David French that theorized a hypothetical nuclear attack on the heels of the false alarm that occurred in Hawaii last weekend. The conservative French noted that a “strike would devastate central Honolulu but leave many suburbs intact.”

Reid apparently failed to read French’s actual story that was published in the National Review, instead opting for watered-down, misleading pickups that were published by Newsweek and Raw Story that focused on Trump supporters living in rural areas. The MSNBC host then twisted the already watered-down versions of the story to make it about race.

“We have truly entered the age of insanity when the conservative argument in favor of risking nuclear war is, ‘don't worry, it will only kill Democrats and minorities.’ Shame on you @DavidAFrench,’” Reid wrote.

Reid immediately was mocked across Twitter for her take. French responded himself, calling Reid’s tweet “misleading and ridiculous.”


HuffPost reporter Yasher Ali called Reid’s tweet “a totally unfair characterization,” while National Review reporter Jim Geraghty asked, “Does anyone around Joy Reid have the courage to say to her, ‘that was dishonest, and you shouldn't have done that?’”


“The bit that Joy Reid puts in quotes is not taken from David French’s story or even from the Newsweek story. She just made that up,” Hot Air’s John Sexton pointed out.


Reid eventually took notice and backtracked, taking back her “take” and blaming Raw Story for the mix-up.

“Taking back my take on this take - the @rawstory writeup doesn't reflect @DavidAFrench's intent and I think @Aunty__Em would probably agree. David and I disagree on almost everything, but my take on this was off track,” she wrote.

This is far from Reid's first controversial comment.

In recent memory, Reid has referred to Trump supporters as “deplorables,” apologized for old blog posts in which she made homophobic comments while speculating about the sexuality of former Florida governor Charlie Crist and even said the Trump presidency is the “worst time to be a human” without mentioning things such as slavery, Black Death, or the Holocaust.
