Which teams do you think will be a big surprise ?
What I mean there will be 2 to 4 teams that were really good be like crap in 2017
and there will be 2 to 4 teams that were crap and will be very good in 2017

 

Being from NJ and having lived in Tampa, I'm pulling for the Giants, Jets and Bucs. I grew up watching the Cowboys, so I root for them too.

 

A Superbowl rematch between New England and Atlanta would be very cool for viewers-- and likely suicide for Matt Ryan, if Atlanta should lose again-- but I suppose that never happens. Too many teams, too many variables.

 

Now that's dedication to the game.

I went to south middle in Aurora I went to Montbello high and Metro state and I still go back to Denver a couple times a year. That being said I'ma die hard Packers fan and that Superbowl was bullshit! Hated them with a passion every since. CANTON, Ohio - Once Jerry Jones was voted into the Hall of Fame in February, the conversation turned to what kind of party the Cowboys owner would throw before the induction ceremony.

In this case, six months of buildup certainly didn't trump one night of celebration.


The Cowboys' 90-man roster and coaching staff were among close to 1,000 guests who were treated to a party for the ages Friday night at Glenmoor Country Club. It is believed the Jones family spent well over $10 million to surpass any other Hall of Fame party.

Justin Timberlake was the featured entertainer in a rare private event for the musician. He took center stage at about 11 p.m. (EST) and played for 90 minutes.

Near the end of his set, Timberlake shared a story about how Jones and his wife, Gene, told him they used to follow around Elvis for shows. Timberlake concluded his night by playing several Elvis hits that had the Cowboys' starting offensive line bunched up near the stage, dancing and taking pictures and video.

About two dozen NFL owners and about the same number of Hall-of-Famers rubbed elbows with some elite guests, including Warren Buffett, Jon Bon Jovi, Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, Roger Staubach, Tony Romo, Tony Dorsett, Jimmy Johnson, Barry Switzer and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. New Jersey governor Chris Christie and Dallas mayor Mike Rawlings also attended.

Jones attended the Hall of Fame Gold Jacket Dinner and didn't arrive until about an hour after his party started. Jones made his entrance to rapper will.i.am's "Hall of Fame" song. He greeted the crowd from his perched area, ending with, "It's great to be with you tonight. Now, let's have a party!"

 

The Seahawks play the Chargers on Sunday Aug 13th and then have a short week and play the Vikings 5 days later on the 18th and close out the preseason with the Chiefs on the 25th and the Raiders on the 31st . Still rather watch baseball or b ball but I like the dedication of the gridiron players .

 

Gotta tell you. Shooter used to take NFL players on river trips.
Kind of like an unchaperoned troop of cub scouts, but with a lot of muscle and booze.

The quarterback controversy in Denver is complicated now.
Siemian did what he does, and did it well. Duh.
Lynch, well, not so much. He didn't meet the hype. In fact, his performance was underwhelming.
Now Sloter, he looked pretty damn good out there. Lynch better watch out.

And of course, Denver's defense showed again why they are number 1, and why Denver can win even when the offense stutters.

AH! Tis glorious that we're back in season!

Ezekiel Elliott Suspended 6 Games

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has been suspended six games without pay by the NFL for his alleged role in a domestic violence case from last July.

Adam Schefter of ESPN first reported word of the suspension. Schefternoted Elliott is expected to appeal and must do so within three business days. A hearing must be scheduled within 10 days of the filing of the appeal, per Schefter.

If Elliott does not appeal, his suspension will begin September 2 and he'll be eligible to return on October 23, per the release. A source told Schefter that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is "furious" with the league's decision.

While Elliott is going into just his second year in the league, he has already become a true star for the Cowboys. He led the NFL with 1,631 rushing yards as a rookie while earning a first-team All-Pro selection.

 

Elliott best appeal lest Jerry kick his ass.
