There is a site called newsexstories that has stolen a number of stories from here including mine. They change the name of the authors so whether they did it or some person or persons stole and submitted the stories I'm not sure.

They have a search engine so you can see if your story is there. I plan on trying to contact them tomorrow to see if they are legit. They also say they keep the rights of all stories in perpetuity so check people cuz I doubt they play nice

It looks set to fail, to me, the way it's designed.

Set to be blacklisted by Google as well. And dead slow.

But if it lights a fire under xnxx to make some improvements then all well and good IMO, even though it is obviously built on theft.

 

There have been other sites that have copied our stuff. Most include our xnxx usernames, and one even included my "intro" which said that I had written this story as a CAW entry on xnxx.con.

Also, there is (or was -- I've lost the link) a website that is a virtual clone of this one.

Those of us who don't get paid for our stuff and don't file for copyrights are pretty much screwed, I think.

Well, you don't have to file for a copyright; when you make something, you have a copyright on it as a matter of kind.

I sorted by Written by Women and found one of mine straight away. They posted that it was written by Jim Bailey. Really? I already sent an email to the address above. I don't have time to check for more this morning, but I will.

 

It IS copyright violation. As soon as you commit something to paper or digital, you own it. Registering it with the US Copyright office preserves additional rights, but you still have rights regardless of registration.

They have stolen my Entire collection of Revenge stories, my Object of My Desire trilogy, my Alanna trilogy, and the following CAW entries:

JFK: My Lover, My President
In The Name of Love (no sex at all in it!)
Sad Lisa (and the repost)

All different authors listed.

The domain name is registered through GoDaddy. It appears that the site is hosted through a company in Texas, but I'm doing all of this via an iPad and it is early so someone may want to double check that part.

 

Mine are on there too. It would appear that ALL of their stories come from XNXX. They even use the same categories that are on the stories page.

Seems to originate from Malaysia, judging by the language that appears from time to time.

I don't think it'll last. I did a search on Google for 'sex stories' and it isn't in the first 10 pages even. Don't think it'll ever rank either, it takes keyword stuffing to a whole new level :laughing:

 

They've stolen some of mine too! I know this is a free website and everything, but I feel disgusted that someone else is claiming to have written my stories on another site.

I haven't had the chance to see if my stuff is there, but they probably are. I understand that GoDaddy takes copyright infringement pretty seriously, so if we can't get them to pull the stories (and if they copied everything from XN, chances are they won't) then contact GoDaddy and have the entire site shut down. I don't care WHAT a writer writes, be it something to rival Tolstoy or the filthiest piece of porn you would ever want to read, it still took time and creativity to produce it and that not only deserves the same protection under copyright law, it IS afforded the same protection under copyright law. Intellectual theft is theft regardless of what theme or category the property falls under and should be dealt with just as severely as any other theft, IMO.

 

Nicola your Vindictus stories are there,I was going to pm you as I know you are a pitbull with this stuff plus I know you're not on all the time.

They even stole My Are You Being Served Stories with my original dedication to wimmers

Error 404

I'm getting an Error 404 - Page Not Found for that site (!0:00 AM PDT 10/18/2011). Wonder if that means they moved the site, or just gave it a different URL?

I'm with Nicola on this one. I have no problem with another site stealing my work, really, but leave my name on it!
Saves me the trouble of re-submitting something for greater exposure if they take the whole thing. I'd rather choose my own aliases, though . . .

 

I just spent the last hour doing some research. NSS has every one of my stories and poems from November 2008 - May 2011. These are screen shots from xnxx because one of my stories had formatting issues on this site only, several mention the CAW, and a lot mention that I do not accept comments.

Three of my pieces were entered to the 80th Annual Writers Digest Competition and for one I have the Certificate of Registration from the US Copyright Office sitting right next to me. I have a draft email started to the site and I will be contacting Lemark. I am beyond pissed right now.

 

I don't feel like being superman. I helped before but I can't be bothered to this time. If you used the time it took to create this thread and instead made out a DMCA takedown notice, we wouldn't have to hear about this site.

 

Apparently my 'Mistress Hazel' was written by James Urwin........

Edit - and finding Sicilian Adventure - they haven't even managed to post the whole story.
