Let me introduce both of you to political diplomacy, that's what the Sth Korean foreign minister was being....diplomatic.

She was praising donnie so he wouldn't get his nose out of joint......in my opinion the world's leaders have figured out how to handle donnie...."feed his over inflated ego". Make him feel like it was his idea, but knowing full well that the South Koreans have been working on this for years.

donnie has insulted nearly all of the U.S.'s allies but all of them have sucked it up as they all know that donnie's style of bully-boy politics doesn't work.....diplomacy and talk goes a lot further.

Also as I said natureboy, President Moon Jae-in's part in this has been a long time coming and none of it has anything to do with donnie being elected.

South Korea president says Trump deserves Nobel Peace Prize

South Korean President Moon Jae-in said U.S. President Donald Trump deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to end the standoff with North Korea over its nuclear weapons program, a South Korean official said on Monday.

“President Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize. What we need is only peace,” Moon told a meeting of senior secretaries, according to a presidential Blue House official who briefed media.

Moon and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Friday pledged at a summit to end hostilities between their countries and work toward the “complete denuclearization” of the Korean peninsula.

Trump is preparing for his own summit with Kim, which he said would take place in the next three to four weeks.

The Trump administration has led a global effort to impose ever stricter sanctions on North Korea and the U.S. president exchanged bellicose threats with Kim in the past year over North Korea’s development of nuclear missiles capable of reaching the United States.

In January, Moon said Trump “deserves big credit for bringing about the inter-Korean talks. It could be a resulting work of the U.S.-led sanctions and pressure”.

Trump’s predecessor, Barack Obama, won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize just months into his presidency, an award many thought was premature, given that he had little to show for his peace efforts beyond rhetoric.

Even Obama said he was surprised and by the time he collected the prize in Oslo at the end of that year, he had ordered the tripling of U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

As well as Obama, three U.S. presidents have won the Nobel Peace Prize: Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Jimmy Carter

Moon’s Nobel Prize comment came in response to a congratulatory message from Lee Hee-ho, the widow of late South Korean President Kim Dae-jung, in which she said Moon deserved to win the prize, the Blue House official said.

Moon responded by saying Trump should get it.

Trump on Monday suggested his planned meeting with Kim take place at the Peace House on the border between North and South Korea.

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un has released three U.S. citizens detained for years in his horrific prison camps, surrendering to another of Present Trump’s demands in advance of a planned historic summit between the two leaders whose countries have long been adversaries.

A series of concessions by Mr. Kim, from agreeing to a goal of denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula to freeing the three Americans, has not calmed fears among Mr. Trump’s critics that he will “wing it” in the talks and potentially empower the communist regime in Pyongyang.

Behind the scenes at the White House, however, the president has marshaled an agile team to hone a fast-paced negotiating strategy and back him up in the nuclear talks, which could be held as soon as this month or by the end of June.

The president’s combative style and the maneuvering by his team from the National Security Council and State Department have reaped early wins, but they are still far from getting Mr. Kim to give up his nuclear weapons.

“We’re in the beginning stages of the work, and the outcome is certainly yet unknown,” Mr. Pompeo, a former CIA chief, said when sworn in Wednesday as secretary of state. “But one thing is certain: This administration will not repeat the mistakes of the past. Our eyes are wide open. It’s time to solve this once and for all. A bad deal is not an option.”

And I am sure you have noticed Magpie that Kim Jong Un is just bending over backwards to say he will give Trump everything he wants including denuclearzation and even releasing US prisoners. And that by the time Trump actually sits down with Kim North Korea and South Korea have already agreed on peace and decnuclearization. Its all but a done deal.

So what happens if Trump sits down with Kim, refuses to go along with Kim and the progress already made, and walks out? Well then its all Trump's fault. And they can either cut Trump and the US out of all future negations or far worse take us right back to the brink of nuclear war. And Trump will be responsible for blowing up what could be one of the most important peace agreements since World War II.

With another much worse scenario possibly hiding in the curtains. We see a lot of the Trump supporters admitting Kim Jong Un. So what happens if Trump and Kim meet and then after the meeting Kim gets in front of the microphone and says Hey we really wanted to make a peace deal but during the negotiations it became obvious that Trump is actually mentally ill and detached from reality and it is impossible and dangerous to try and negotiate with someone who is mentally ill and a danger to himself and others.

And that may seem far fetched but it is within the realm of possibility.

But on the other hand if Trump actually does come away with a real deal instead of all the deals North Korea has cut in the past just to make fools of the people who trusted them I will nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize myself. That would in fact and in deed be an accomplishment worthy of it. And we all know how much winning the Nobel Peace Prize helped President Obama win over conservative/Republican/Tea Party/White Supremacists for the next seven years he was in office.

However, if Trump fucks this up he will instead of winning the Nobel Prize he will go down as the most dangerous and destructive president in US history.

Moon Jae-in has been working toward making peace between the two Koreas for most of his life. It was only when he became the President that he could go full bore at it.

Last week both of the Koreas agreed to turn off their propaganda loudspeakers, and yesterday both sides removed them along the whole of their borders.
