I first read that as "Your real Accent" and I was trying to work out how what he typed sounded like a particular accent, and if it did why you would think that wasn't his real accent.

Sorry. I'll get back in my hole, I think, and leave it to the thinking people of this site to sort out the truth.

 

Have you considered it from the pupils point of view, a non christian, why would she want someone praying for her, would you mind if some pagan cult started to sacrifice goats for your sick family members?

Also "The Daily Mail". I check my calendar when I look at the date in that rag. Rightwing bunch of wankers, how did they find time to half heartedly report this crap when there are asylum seekers out there who need persecuting?

Also she wasn't fired she was a temp teacher no contract, they just chose not to use her anymore which is their perogative while they investigate the complaint.

 

It is all about distracting from the real issues. Really very pathetic and inane to try to rally all of the church goers and religious people to feel like they are being persecuted. When it is nothing of the sort.

There would have a grander outcry for the imprisoned children of asylum seekers, than ever would be possible with the church going teacher.

 

I do not believe, but would not have any problem with other people praying for me or mine, as far as I am concerned they are wasting their time but I suppose it's their time to waste and perhaps it is the thought that counts.

As I think about this I am reminded of that remarkable film "The man in the moon", Jim Careys finest in my opinion, and the scene where he realises the cancer faith healer is just a fast handed butcher. He laughs and still sees the funny side of a kindred spirit.

My normal answer to someone wanting to pray for me is this. "If you want to pray for me, I'll dance naked in the woods for you!"

The only things Christians do better than being judgmental, is playing the bleeding heart.

 

Give me a break. You've got a ton of bullshit going here and ain't none of it worth a pound.

First, the teacher should have damn well known better than to bring religion and praying into a public school curriculum now matter where she was. She was still being paid with public funds and is bound by professional standards. So she got busted for breaking the rules of her profession and people want to defend that and claim she's a victim of Christian persecution instead of an incompetent and insubordinate public employee. That boggles my mind.

Second, what in the hell has the myth of the liberal press got to do with what you posted. Even if there was such a thing as a "liberal press," which there isn't, the press does not have a damn thing to do with this teacher getting fired.

There is no way the Daily Mail can be classed as liberal. They are so far to the right they make Adolf Hitler look positively left wing. I was only surprised they didn't run with. "It wouldn't happen to a muslim".

 

Maybe next time she'll think twice about assuming that everyone else is a Christian when she's in their homes.
