Who would you rather see them take on; Boston or Tampa Bay?

 

I think Tampa will be there. They are leading 3-1. The Red Sox must win the next three games.

I actually agree with this, although there are two countries that play in the MLB: US and Canada...but you have to realize that back when the World Series started, it was just the US that was playing baseball. Nowadays, I think they should expand into the big countries that they get a lot of players from like South and Central America, Mexico, etc, so they can actually have a World Series. but they do have the World Baseball Classic and it's becoming very big, so I guess it all depends.


Anyway...I wish I had the money to buy a t-shirt, damn being a strapped for cash college kid...

I honestly don't know. The AL is so much more competitive and harder to play in than the NL it's not even funny. Personally, I'd rather the Phils face Tampa Bay because of their lack of playoff experience on that roster, although I gotta admit it'd be pretty cool to see a "where I grew up" vs. "where I was born" World Series...

Either way, to win the World Series, the Phillies will need to fire on all cylinders, something they haven't done since about July or so I think, during that run where they were in first place for however many months...

Either way, it will be great to see my team in the WS for the first time since I was like 5, and anybody who's got tickets for sale...hit me up

I really wish that the Phillies wouldn't have gotten in over the Dodgers. I was really pissed off after they kept hitting people!

being a Mets fan, i was hoping for the Dodgers to get past Philly (there were remarks made by Philly about the mets i won't tollerate) to face Boston. I wanted to see the Red Sox and their fans let Manny have it for defecting. :twisted: Oh fuck, that's not happeneing now. And now, Boston is 1 loss away from going home with their panties in a bunch 'til next season. Either way, Boston or Tampa, Whichever team makes it i'll be cheering for them cause i am NOT gonna cheer for a National League team who is full of crybaby bitches and hoes who can't win with spirit. :roll:

uhhh LA started that. Myers(whose control problems this year have been well publicized) accidentally threw a ball behind Manny, who acted like he was gonna do something, which was funny as hell, and then the Dodgers were a bunch of spiteful little bitches and tried to throw at Victorino's fucking head! We didn't throw at them purposely, they did.

you talkin about the team or the fans? cus I don't really understand how either one of them at all fit into what you're bitching about, but if it's the fans, I'm a lot less likely to tolerate it...

I admit though, Bruntlett and Victorino knocking catchers over or doing things like that makes me ashamed that they're on my home team when they do it, but that's it. The Phillies aren't a cheap-shotting team, and the Mets constantly spend all of this money on players, and infact got the best pitcher in the game, and the Phils almost collapsed, and the Mets still couldn't get in the playoffs led alone the division, and yet the Mets fans still talk.

I think... it's going to be bigger this year, and they're extending Spring Training because of it...

 

Go phils. And go sox too, lets get tampa's pitching lineup tired as all hell before they take on philidelphia. But if the sox manage to pull a series win out their bum, then gl in the series.

I've been a fan since 1984 and had my heart broken in 1993. I can't wait for the series. I am actually a closet Red Sox fan too because my Dad was from New Bedford. I just don't think the Sox will have the steam to pull it off again.
