  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

I always have mixed feelings when someone like Pinochet dies. For years now he's not been in a position to perpetrate any more evil acts so no innocents have been saved by his death at this stage.

Still, given the horrendous human rights abuses in Chile during his rule I can't help thinking that the world is better off without him and his kind.

I always loved the Sting song "They dance alone", but I was always a bit uncomfortable with some of the lyrics. I guess if I'd lived through it I might have felt differently.

It kind of puts Thatcher's view of the world in to perspective that she has publicly stated her sadness at the death of this man.

I guess, other than that, I wondered what others thought about him and his death.

Why are these women here dancing on their own?
Why is there this sadness in their eyes?
    Why are the soldiers here
    Their faces fixed like stone?
I can't see what it is they despise
    They're dancing with the missing
    They're dancing with the dead
They dance with the invisible ones
    Their anguish is unsaid
    They're dancing with their fathers
    They're dancing with their sons
    They're dancing with their husbands
They dance alone They dance alone

It's the only form of protest they're allowed
I've seen their silent faces scream so loud
If they were to speak these words
    they'd go missing too
Another woman on the torture table
    what else can they do
    They're dancing with the missing
    They're dancing with the dead
They dance with the invisible ones
    Their anguish is unsaid
    They're dancing with their fathers
    They're dancing with their sons
    They're dancing with their husbands
They dance alone They dance alone

One day we'll dance on their graves
One day we'll sing our freedom
One day we'll laugh in our joy
    And we'll dance
One day we'll dance on their graves
One day we'll sing our freedom
One day we'll laugh in our joy
    And we'll dance

    Ellas danzan con los desaparecidos
    Ellas danzan con los muertos
    Ellas danzan con amores invisibles
    Ellas danzan con silenciosa angustia
    Danzan con sus padres
    Danzan con sus hijos
    Danzan con sus esposos
    Ellas danzan solas
    Danzan solas

    Hey Mr. Pinochet
    You've sown a bitter crop
It's foreign money that supports you
One day the money's going to stop
    No wages for your torturers
    No budget for your guns
Can you think of your own mother
    Dancin' with her invisible son
    They're dancing with the missing
    They're dancing with the dead
They dance with the invisible ones
    Their anguish is unsaid
    They're dancing with their fathers
    They're dancing with their sons
    They're dancing with their husbands
They dance alone They dance alone

    USA support for dictator (democratic)

Let me add my 2 cents worth.. Pinochet.

Pinochet assumed power on Sept 11, 1973, in a bloody coup supported by the United States that toppled the elected government of Salvador Allende, a Marxist who had pledged to lead his country "down the democratic road to socialism"

This brings up a question,, not just Pinochet, but several others that the CIA has been instrumental in bringing to power... of course that had some failures, such as Chezes of Venzulela.

WHY: 77 million spent on ousting Slobodan Milosovic, But also the new technicque that is being used has applied to Georgia 2003, Belarus 2001, The click word is "Post Modern Coup". Cia has been involved in almost every election in south america since 1970. Each time groups were financed through NED and USAID, so called non-profit groups from USA.

The Republicans used some of the same ideas in this last election.. I am told that they used the same public relations firm... It goes to show that it does not work all the time...

Well, not to be callous about it or anything, but good riddance to bad rubbish. The only good thing about tinhorn dictators is that they all eventually die.

I wonder what George Bush has to say about this guy by way of a eology....given his desire to promote democracy all over the world.

I should hacve known that Kimi and TR would reply on this one, but I'm surprised no-one else has an opinion they want to share.

Still, that probably tells me how out of touch I am with the way the world is now.:(

You are not out of touch at all I would guess that there are many others that have been sheltered from true history of that and many of the regions of the world... Kimi your are right they eventually die, but they cut a lot of furrows in the plowed fields of the world,, and not all of them good, or not all of them will go away..

Sorry was busy having a wank, and didn't have much time !!!

I am glad he is dead, as he was another dispicable leader of a people who deserved better. I believe there were hundreds of thousands of families looking for lost ones who had been taken away at the order of Pinochet and just *disappeared*. So I for one will not miss the arsehole.

I hope you've washed your hands.

You do realise that commenting that you're glad the Cunt's dead and then that you won't miss the Arsehole do make you sound like you ARE gay, don't you?

Not that there's anything wrong in that.

But seriously now folks, That was the sort of reaction I had. The world s better of without him and his kind.

I wonder if the bodies will ever be found so the mothers and wives can get some sort of closure?

I'm definitely not gay - the thought of a bloke going near my arse with his dick is quite repulsive, BUT I'm quite happy waggling mine at a lady (probably a new thread here !!!). So I'm hetero and scared of gays.

I take the word CU** back and call him a twat instead - is that less gay?

    Missed????

Exactly as: Hitler, Stalin, Hussein, Tojo, Himmler, Pol Pot were missed.

I saw that record for mass murderers may belong to Stalin rather than Hitler, the toll in Russia alone was supposedly greater.

The bigger thing about all this and other gladly missed dictators, is the fact that our CIA helped put them in power.. Should they also carry the burden of all the crime they committed????

There are many other leaders that killed many of their own people,, but it was not untill the 1950's that the USA has had a hand in putting dictators in control in countrys that our population thought we were enemys of..

I'm sorry but that could be a thread all of it's own. Occam's Razor says that the least complex explanation is probably the truth.

Dodi and Di were killed when a car crashed and the only person to survive was the only one in the car wearing a seatbelt. It was also the case that the driver had high alcohol levels, and that the car was speeding to exscape photographers.

To me that looks like a pretty complicated way to carry out an assassination.

And BB's right. there is no way MI5 or MI6 have the balls, ability or resources to do it, even if they wanted to, and she wasn't important enough for them to bother with.

I sobbed my heart out at the funeral on TV - the picture with the word MUMMY on it in flowers on the coffin , coincided with the birth of number one son - I will never forget that - what an old fraud I am !

I can understand that on the day on a personal level for you, but didn't you think the whole "Saint Di" mourning nation thing was a teensy bit overblown?

Can honestly say I thought the press coverage was way OTT, but I genuinely believe the nation needed to cry a bit?
