ok im male and im 18 and everything has developed normally, got pubic hair and all,everything fine...apart from my voice ever since i started secondary school people have been taking the piss outa me cause of my high pitched voice and u know girls get kinda freaked out by it and i was wondering is there anything i can do to get this sorted as im sick of name calling and being single PLEASE HELP SOMEONE

 

Maybe talk to your doctor, he might be able to put you on some hormone supplements or something of that nature. Other than that I don't know how to help you. Maybe you're an XXY male, but I'm not up for teaching a Biology lesson here. All I know is, is to have a chat with the doctor about it.

I would think that by the time you're 18, the die is cast, as they say. Most guys go through that wierd voice-breaking thing a lot younger. You might just have a high voice. Take heart, most rock stars are tenors.

my voice also is really high, people always mistake me for a girl on the phone .... and when they pictures of me with long hair ....
it sure is embarrassing tho to get a medal for some sports .... and the guy handing it over says in the microphone 'you don't look like a boy'. but that was a long time ago....

The average time frame for a boy's voice to change is 11-15 years of age.
So, if you're 18 then it is to late and you'll just have to accept it.
And if everything else has developed normally, it's not a genetic problem (like an XXY male)

Check with your doc. Testosterone may do the trick to lower your voice. The only thing I found with it was that you felt mean as hell for a few hours after the shots ( in your hip.)

Well.. hmm try talking from your throat.. to yourself.. maybe if you pretend and practice at having a deep voice long enough, it will end up rubbing off on your normal voice.. Although the ammount you'd have to talk to yourself in a deep voice.. does have the potiental... create other problems.. such as...

• insanity
• imaginary friends
• love of strong sounding voices

when all is said and done perhaps, just accepting who you are, and finding those who will accept you for who you are is best.
Even if shes or they are the hottest girls in school, would you really be happy with them knowning they.. are freaked out by merely a high voice... it doesn't say much about their charractor.

As they some say in world of Warcraft.. play your class, and not the one you should have rolled (play to your strengths): .. if you have a high voice.. try the choir.. I am sure theres lots of hot choir girls.. who could respect you for you...

but really.. don't let them bully you into being inactive at school.. theres no pussy at home.. just lots of pictures of it... keep your head up.. and you'll smack some butt...

I envy you because you can probably sing up to C above middle C. Become a singer like Wayne Newton, I always thought Dankeshien was sung by a female for a long time.

 

i went to the ear nose and throat specilist and dey took blood sample and they said my hormone levels were ok and that speech therapy mite be da only solution but fuck it costs a fortune here. would dose of testosterone work????????????

if they said that your hormone levels are ok than I can't see why testosterone would make any difference...
Just accept that it's the way you are.
And if other people can't deal with that, then too bad.

 

My voice didn't change in one shot, but at intervals, typically after I was sick. It didn't start changing until I was 14, and the last time it changed I was 19, but it never changed all that much at any one time. I'm still a tenor.

Yeah, and even if you don't go on to become a rock star, there's many who consider it quite sexy. Being bass may make you feel like a man or sound like a man, but accepting your voice will demonstrate that you are a man.

Unfortunately, people tease more when they see it gets a reaction. When they see you're fine with what you've got, all they can do is respect you. (It may be tough in transition--they may really want to be convinced you're for real, and it takes time to become real. Getting through it will prove you're real.)

 

i went to the local doctor cause last night i researched some stuff and this thing called testostrone buccal came up. i told him about this and that wen i went for blood test everything came bak normal.. he saids he is gonna check out this testostrone buccal and get bak to me also he recommended speech therapy

does any1 have any info on speech therapy???
