So the POTUS would like to focus on rebuilding America and our infrastructure. Doing this would require hiring American workers and buying materials made by American companies. I don't know about you, but I support this as has anyone seen the condition of our infrastructure? It needs to be modernized and brought up to today's standard. Thoughts?

It is called not sending billions to third world countries and reinvesting that money in the US.

 

Easy, you get private businesses to build it, then they charge the users tolls..........I'm sure the Chinese would love to collect tolls and send the profits back to China.

 

Trump is just itching to open another can of worms with this latest brainstorm considering he is the king of using substandard materials in ALL of his real estate holdings and this will be no different.

I am even more curious to see the list of successful bidders that get these contracts and you can bet it will be filled with patronage and mafia ties ...

I fear that the American taxpayers will be duped yet again into thinking that he will actually build anything that will last 100 years, you will be lucky if half the shit he wants to "rebuild" will still be usable by the time he is out of office ... have the Chinese build it, it will be shit but it won't cost as much as buying American will but you still end up with the same garbage lol.

That is a risk that the workers would be willing to take. Black lung was reported years ago, so they couldn't claim that they didn't know. Hopefully the OSHA laws have improved to prevent that risk as well. There is certainly safety equipment available that would minimize any risk of exposure to contaminants.
