Why are the new owners fucking up what made this forum so popular in the first place? Didn't they buy it because it was popular? Don't they want it to stay that way?

I first noticed this new hard edge in the Forum Bugs thread. But I had thought that surely it would only be limited to that thread since it was a bug reporting thread. Surely!

Then---to my utter shock---I noticed it in the departed forum members thread and realized that the extreme "Mod"ing will now be spreading to the rest of this once great forum very soon.

Someone may respond, "Don't you think that it's wrong to troll that thread, you asswipe! " Yes, I do. However, back in the good ol' days such trolls would be marked as being pariahs and dealt with in appropriate ways (i.e., members putting them on Ignore, blasting the hell out of them in responses to their vile posts, etc.)

I don't know how long it will be before this extreme "Mod"ing spreads to the rest of this forum. However, based on how things have changed so far, I doubt that it will be more than a few months. And when that happens I'm afraid that I'll have to say "Goodbye" for good.

(I'm not talking about the new Rules BTW. Except for the utterly stupid idea that a "no scat" Rule includes silly little cartoons of a pile of poo in addition to things like 2 Girls 1 Cup I completely understand why these new Rules were put in place. In fact, I agree with the "no under 18" Rule. I'm all for the sick fuck pedos being outta here.)

 

The rest of the forum doesn't really need modding like GD does.

The fact that it used to be the most popular (and busiest) adult forum on the net with Mods who didn't censor anything except for the obvious (i..e., CP) and is now deader than a doornail with this hard edge "Mod"ing approach utterly refutes that contention.

I don't troll or "start things for shits and giggles." Trolls don't believe what they're saying. They just say stuff to piss people off.

I say what I believe...and still people get pissed off.

Is it? We've got more abusive mods than ever. Outliers have been seen, but in my time I don't recall such hostility. I'd take pigget, chunky, et. al. over the current.

 

I don't blame the current Mods. I think that they're just having to carry out the wishes of some "higher authorities" who had to pay big bucks for a popular site and are now killing it for no good reason at all.

They're doing as all Mods must do in order to stay Mods. They're doing what they're told. The "incompetence" therefore comes from a "higher" source.

As to why they continue to be Mods under such consider that being a Mod does have some prestige and benefits that the peons (i.e., regular members) don't have. So they stay on. Plus keep in mind that not ALL of the recent Mods have stayed on.

 

Or, perhaps, the admin doesn't care.

ILMJ has been online here more times in a week than the original Admin (or at least the one who was in power in 2007) was here in years.

They may not care. However, I think that their not caring has more to do with not caring about running this forum into the ground than in not caring what their "slaves" (i.e., Mods) do.

Considering the fact that most chicks online are really dudes---and the rest can't be 100% proved to be otherwise---I say "No."

Plus why "chat" with someone whom you're never ever going to ever meet IRL when there are real girls to "chat" with whom you CAN meet IRL?

As much as it pains me, I think I could agree with that. I mean, mods have broken the rules they're supposed to enforce, mods have joined when they're admittedly underage... there's tons of issues. But, in the words of mods, "nobody cares"

P.S - I have PLENTY of evidence. I have screenshots. I save my PMs. I don't make stupid mistakes and I've been here while. I know who's done what, I know who's joined underage, I know who's done wrong. If you try to deidre me, I might end up banned - but that proves my entire point. It doesn't MATTER what mods have done in the past. I've even tried to be nice, believe it or not!

 

I'm saying that I don't 100% know. You could be a carefully crafted online persona made up by a dude in his parent's basement for all that I know. The only way that I could be 99.99% sure would be if I had a verification pic. But even then you could be a dude who got one of his female friends to do it for him.

The fact that the overwhelming majority of chicks on the net are really dudes makes it more likely that a chick is really a dude than not. This is partly why I don't RP, chat, post tribute pics, etc. In addition to those things being just plain stupid and juvenile, of course.

One thing I do know is that if I tell you that I'm a dude (and I am) then the likelihood is that I am one since most dudes online are dudes.

I don't do webcams. In addition to the fact that those things can be faked I do not wish to reveal personal info about myself online. My face is personal info.

I once got burned by Carrie. I once sent "her" an email using my main email addy by mistake. Later when I figured out that "she" was full of crap and not a "she" at all---and said so here---"she" threatened me in a number of posts using my actual first name. (Why "she" wasn't immediately banned for that I'll never understand.) I managed to get a Mod to remove all of the posts with my actual first name in them.
