This being the only forum I have ever done, I didn’t know if this is common or not. I often like to reread posts I've made that extend to a paragraph or more periodically. Is that common for things like this or am I just an arrogant prick who likes the sound of his own voice? Right now I think either is a likely answer.

 

Well I'm not sure this will help with the arrogant prick defense, in fact in some people's view it could get you charged as a co-conspirator, but I also sometimes re-read some of my previous posts, other than the ones someone is trying to whipe my nose with. And yes sometimes it's just because I liked what I had to say.

I often reread mine.Since we started savage role play I often reread to help keep the story line. Outside of that I think Im funny! (sic,sic)

I’m not completely sure what you mean by charged as a co-conspirator. I’m familiar with the term, but not really how it relates to a forum. What does this mean?

 

It means there are those on this forum that are convinced that I am one arrogant, and possibly now narcisstic prick. But don't worry I was just kidding, and you seem like a nice and may I dare say, honest guy, so I don't think that will be your fate.

This is actually a great forum and I think you'll enjoy the fun, excitment and sometimes thought provoking content as well as occassionally looking back to see what you have said and whether or not it still appeals to you as time goes by

no.. youre not weird.. i go back through past posts just to see who responded so i can respond to them.. or not respond whichever.. but sometimes i'll reread something i posted just to see if i actually made sense when i posted it.. sometimes i'll come back and be like.. 'damn.. why did i say that.. '

 

I do the same thing, half the time I'll forget what I said unless I reread it

I sometimes cringe when an old thread gets brought up again, read my posts and think 'Oh dear, did I really write that?'

 

same here, especially some of the ones from really early in the summer when I first joined and just flipped shit on dudes

Seriously, though, when I occasionally check my old stories for new comments, I have to reread some of what I wrote so's I know what the comment's about. And, I'm often surprised at what I wrote...

I should get drunk and revive the drunk thread. That was a trip, reading what I posted in their when I would come home from the bar, be too drunk to keep my eyes open, but still be typing away. Some of it made sense in a way I couldn't understand after I sobered up, some of it was just crazy. Pretty funny though.

I re-read what I say in the more political oriented threads, mostly to make sure I've made my point, and also like stumbler, because I sometimes get a kick out of it if I felt I've been especially clever. But for instance in the German Sabine Poses for her boyfriend, the comment I made there doesn't need to be re-read. It wasn't terribly interesting, I was mainly just trying to get my last few posts in to get to 1,000.

I do it every once in a while to refresh my memory if a thread re-appears or to understand what someone's reply was.

But I don't go into my profile and randomly look back on old posts for no reason.
