The Democrats actually managed to pull off a triple win in Alabama. They gained a seat in the Senate. And even though Roy Moore lost the Democrats are still going to hang him around the necks of Trump, Bannon, and the Republican's and keep attacking them for their support of Moore every day between now and the 2018 midterms. And they are also going to keep using Trump and Moore calling their accusers liars to keep calling attention to Trump's own sexual harassment and assaults. With an incredibly new and powerful #MeToo movement to help them.

And PR hacks and Trump supporters can keep trying to spin away from that any way they want to. But reality has come to bear.

 

I contend that Trump would have won with an even larger margin of states and possibly a popular majority if there had been no accusations.

Proof? I have none. This is my opinion.

 

There's another thing to consider for the "wait til 2018 and Jones gets beat by a Republican " crowd.

A significant number of the people who voted for Moore won't be alive in 2018. The age demographics of Moore supporters are heavily weighted toward seniors.

With the upcoming cuts to Medicare, the trend could accelerate.

A rising liberal star running for Congress in Kansas has dropped out of the race over a 2005 federal lawsuit in which she was accused of sexually harassing a male employee whom she supervised.

Andrea Ramsey, 56, of Leawood, was looking to challenge incumbent Republican Kevin Yoder in 2018 in the Kansas City-area 3rd District but announced in a Facebook post that she would be ending her campaign.
Ramsey called the allegations made by her former employee at LabOne, Gary Funkhouser, “a lie.”

“Twelve years ago, I eliminated an employee’s position,” Ramsey wrote. “That man decided to bring a lawsuit against the company (not against me). He named me in the allegations, claiming I fired him because he refused to have sex with me. That is a lie.”

 

Another woman has come forward accusing Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., of putting his hand up her skirt and rubbing her thighs in the front row of a church.

The latest allegation hit the congressman just hours before he is set to make announcement on a Detroit radio station Tuesday.

Elisa Grubbs made the allegation in an affidavit publicized late Monday by attorney Lisa Bloom. Grubbs worked for Conyers for more than a decade and is the cousin of another accuser, Marion Brown, who reached a confidential settlement with the Michigan politician over sexual misconduct allegations.

"Rep. Conyers slid his hand up my skirt and rubbed my thighs while I was sitting next to him in the front row of a church," Grubbs said in the affidavit. "I was startled and sprang to my feet and exclaimed, 'He just ran his hand up my thigh!' Other staffers witnessed the event."

ALABAMA—In the highly contentious special election for the vacant Alabama senator seat Tuesday, Democrat Doug Jones narrowly edged out Republican Roy Moore in the contest, while surprisingly popular mystery write-in candidate “Come Sweet Death” received a full 15% of the vote, the nation’s media reported Wednesday.

“It seems that a significant chunk of voters simply scrawled ‘Come Sweet Death’ across their ballots, rather than cast a vote for an extremely pro-abortion Democrat or a credibly accused pedophile,” a commentator at AL.com said Wednesday. “Many ballots were soaked in tears or even rent in two like some kind of priestly garment.”

Political pundits claim they’ve never seen a grassroots movement supporting a write-in candidate quite as widespread as the one behind this mystery “Come Sweet Death” candidate, although the phrase was scribbled across a significant number of ballots in the 2016 presidential race between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

At publishing time, pollsters had confirmed that other write-in candidates like “Release Me From This Prison,” “Die Steve Bannon,” and “Come Quickly, Lord” had also received scattered support throughout the state.
