  3. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Somewhat like THE AVENGERS, THE MAN from U.N.C.L.E. combined action/adventure and espionage with team comradarie, a natural humor that was more natural than the continuous grimness shown in most detective/spy programs (I SPY being another exception) and a bit of a tongue-in-cheek quality that became more evident over the 4 years of the program's run.

NAPOLEON SOLO, top U.N.C.L.E. agent in the 'Enforcement and Operations' branch, can't even relax during a workout.....

Scots actor David McCallum, 30, who had made a name for himself in a number of films in the late 1950s and early 1960s in secondary roles, took on the role of Russian ILLYA KURYAKIN in THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. in 1964.....

McCallum, now 78, currently plays Medical Examiner Mallard on NCIS, and is one of the few high spots on an otherwise poorly written and poorly acted program.

The United Network Command for Law and Enforcement is a multi-national organization, supported and sponsored by nearly all industrialized countries, and disregards ideological conflicts (such as Capitalist Democracy v Communism) between and among political states (such as Cold War antagonisms between the United States and Maoist China).

Cooperation with the United Nations exists, but U.N.C.L.E. operates as a completely independent organization, whose goal is to keep the peace, enforce international and domestic laws on a global scale and prevent supra-national organizations (primarily THRUSH) from undermining legitimate governments and achieving world domination.

    (How's that for a mouthful?)

NAPOLEON SOLO (played by ROBERT VAUGHN) was a toned down version of JAMES BOND: Sophisticated, athletic, trained in martial arts, a connoisseur and a ladies' man. He was, however, less brutal and less cynical than BOND, often finding humor in the situations he found himself in.

The similarities to BOND should not be surprising, since IAN FLEMING was a consultant in the creation of THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E., and Solo as a character was conceived by FLEMING.

Even the program's opening, where SOLO walks into the frame, spins, fires his gun, the bullet shattering a mirror is a variant on the iconic BOND image of the MI6 agent walking into the spiral effect, spinning and firing his gun in the direction of the audience.

Illya Kuryakin was meant to play a support role to Robert Vaughn's Napoleon Solo in the series and the Russian agent was not even supposed to appear in a couple of the first dozen scripts for the program.

David McCallum made such an immediate impression on audiences, however, scripts were changed to write him at least a small part in all the episodes and his role was expanded thereafter.....

While VAUGHN had a few almost-"Solo" adventures during the first season, most of the time the two main U.N.C.L.E. agents were balanced partners.....

Way to go Umpire2. I had the T.H.R.U.S.H. rifle as a child. And can still watch it in syndication on a local station in the Midwest. Lol.
