    AlienCat don't know squat. I think it is funny how they've all now started to say that they can't wait for the investigation to be over and everyone who should be convicted is dealt with, even just a few short months ago they were in total denial, shouting "there's no evidence!"

      After a hunting expedition lasting for five years and costing five million dollars, the only think Ken Starr had on Bill Clinton was a lie he asked himself, hoping Clinton would lie.

      I am not a lawyer, but that sounds like entrapment.

      The lie was not about Travelgate, Filegate, Vince Foster, selling military secrets to Communist China in return for campaign funds, drug dealing, or any of the other bizarre charges the Clinton haters leveled at Bill. It was about a consensual affair with a woman past the age of consent, who took nearly all of the initiative.

      Fortunately, as more details of this "scandal" leaked out, Bill Clinton's approval rating rose in the polls. :D

    First, no, Shooter has no special inside information on what the FBI found.
    He posed the question since unsupporters are all in a tizzy over the revelation that the FBI raided Manafort's residence. Like, there was actually a "smoking gun" laying around on Manafort's desk, or this revelation is breathtakingly important.

    Second, Shooter has been consistent; Investigate away. Follow the evidence wherever it leads. If Trump is taken out as a result, so be it. If anyone in Obama's administration gets caught up, so be it. Catch those robbers and run them off. Based, you know, on evidence. Not rumor, innuendo and theory. Get the facts, act accordingly.

    Third, it didn't take Starr's grand jury 4 years to issue subpoenas or file criminal charges;

    A U.S. Court of Appeals panel refuses to re-appoint Fiske as special counsel, citing a possible conflict of interest because he was appointed by Clinton's attorney general, Janet Reno. Kenneth W. Starr, a former federal appeals court judge and U.S. solicitor who worked in the Reagan and Bush administrations, succeeds Fiske as the independent counsel to investigate Whitewater-Madison matters. He reissues subpoenas for documents, such as the Rose billing records of Hillary Clinton.

    And some times I wonder if the PR shops don't have more information than we do which is what they base their spin and deflections on.

    But what the speculation is and what might be freaking Trump out is Manafort might have some serious crimes in his own business dealings and if they can charge him he might roll over on Trump and sing like a little birdie. And here's a pretty good indication they are sweating it.

    Trumps lawyer is talking about it because he wants to be replaced. By talking about that he is not representing Donald's best interests and needs to be replaced.
    I don't even know what ''it'' is, but that's beside the point. If there is one.

      Well we all know utin rigged the election causing DNC to lose and have a melt down.
      Why did he do it you ask? Simple he was tired of dealing with a limp turd president and didn't want one that was ready for the Psyc ward, he wanted meat not veggieheads.
      How he did it is a good question as no zombies turned up to vote (other than hillary supporters), no voting forms went missing and no sneak attacks on overseas votes happened either.
      Yep Russia rigged it ... NOT! Hillary was just not acceptable to the majority of states.

    Now this is especially interesting to me. I happen to agree with the critics that say Reince Priebus is stupid, weak, and cowardly. And that does not forebode well for team Trump.

    *The only thing that could mean is Mueller investigating possible obstruction of justice.

    **Uhh oh. Now that is pretty big. That sucks the entire Republican National party into the Russian investigation.

    Since everything we are discussing in this particular thread on politics in this forum and that we are doing it on the web then I suggest everyone watch ,'' The Story of Aaron Swartz The Man Who Could Could Change the World''. To me it was so enlightening and so sad that I cried. But I'm emotional anyway about everything. And I imagine most people won't watch this documentary and take an hour and fifty minutes of there time doing it and probably because it's me suggesting to do it, but that would be your loss I believe because it is more than directly related to everything being discussed here ten fold.
    It to me was the sum of everything on the web and politics and more of an all in one eye opening documentary then I can say I've really ever watched.

    When I read this I couldn't help thinking about when Nixon's personal secretary Rose Mary Woods testified before congress about just how she managed to "accidentally" erase 18 minutes of crucial White House tape recordings. Because the thing was it made the country hate Nixon even more because he forced someone like her to lie for him like that. And it was just a hopeless lie that no one would believe. And I'm thinking the same thing will happen to Rhona Graff.

    Report: Congressional Investigators Are Keen To Talk To Trump’s Secretary

    And what is important here is it is simply not believable that Trump did not know about this meeting in advance.

    And if we examine closely the Clinton e Mails; the ones hacked by the Russians, we'd certainly find communication from foreign governments, including Russia, looking for the same communication.
    News flash;
    Candidates for national office have routinely had contact with foreign governments during elections. The rest of the world wants to know for themselves what sort of candidate is running and what it means to them.

    No matter. Tilt on.

    Shootersa you just make up bullshit to try and protect your messiah Trump and the conservative/Republican/Tea Party/White Supremacists who have rigged the game and the political system you came to be revolting against.

    And I literally do laugh at that every time because you are just so childish and naive from inside you own little self imposed plastic bubble where facts, truth, reason, and logic can never penetrate lest it burst.

    PS Clinton is not the president of the United States of America. And you really ought to check that out for yourself.

    The better question is why the unsupporters have lied about the reality that all campaigns talk to foreign governments during elections; this would, if it were Clinton or Obama or even Bush, be a non news item.
    Stop drinking the Kool Aid and do your own homework. You will begin to realize just how manipulated the rhetoric is.
    To be clear; President Trump is not Shooter's favorite President; he is a pompous gas bag, but given the alternative was the only choice in this election. The rhetoric about him, his mental stability, his campaign, his views on sex and race and world matters, are all controlled by a media that stopped reporting the facts several decades before.

      I knew going into the election that Trumps mouth was going to be a problem, but I refused to support Hillary.

    In other words, you can't honestly answer the question, so you change the subject. Go back to your pathetic home world, offworlder!

    1. shootersa
      (sigh) Shooter did answer the question. The Trump campaign didn't lie; they failed to report contacts until they were revealed. It was a non issue; all campaigns talk to foreign officials. It became an issue only because it was Trump. Bill Clinton failed to properly report several contacts with Chinese officials during his first campaign, and when they came to light after his election he even had to return $2.8 Million in improper donations. That hardly made a ripple in the media. But you can Google it.

      Seriously. Stop drinking the Kool Aid. Do your homework yourself. Consider the sources. Find the facts. Then decide.

      Do you have proof Clinton solicited those donations? I seem to remember that they were made without his knowledge. Also it appears it was 1996. Also, I find no evidence that Clinton returned anything as there was no proof of wrong doing. Your memory appears to be faulty.

    Fact;
    Both Bush's had contact with foreign government agents prior to their election; notably Bush Sr. had extensive contacts with Israel, which pissed off most of the mideast countries.
    Bush Sr. also warned his son when he ran for election to be very careful with contacts with foreign officials during the campaign, that the press and the Democrats would dig for any scrap of information that could be used to create scandal. Bush Sr. told his son, "Do not reply yourself to requests for favors or special treatment. If you find it worthwhile, contact me and I will make the appropriate inquiries".
    Bill Clinton had some questionable contacts with Chinese officials during his first presidential run and in fact, had to return $2.8 Million in contributions to the Chinese after his election.
    Obama, during the 2008 election had many well documented contacts with foreign governments, mainly in the mideast but also with Russia and China.

    Contact with foreign officials during election campaigns is not a new revelation. What is new is the froth about Trump's contacts with foreign officials.

    No one should accept Shooter's word for it. Google it. Study it. Think about it. Then decide.
