I've figured out what Russia was really up to and it wasn't to put someone friendly to Russia in office.

It was to create doubt in the population and to divide the nation. After all it's a basic principal of warfare. divide and conquer.

Of course that's why they are so quick to label anyone that disagrees with them as racists, sexist, homophobes, or isomorphic. The daily surge of news items hinting at outrageous behavior by President Trump is impressive. That these news items have a common theme starting with "Trump" and ending with "Villain" but with no substance in between should frighten every American.
We are being bombarded with propaganda.
Not propaganda from patriots, that much is clear.
And equally frightening is that the propaganda has been picked up by traditionally immune media moguls and spread as if it were gospel.

We should all be asking ourselves; who benefits from a failed Trump Presidency, and how do they benefit?

 

If anybody doubted that Russia is a kleptocracy then this should seal it as Western banks are revealed to have laundered Russian dirty money to the tune of $4 billion between 2010 and 2014!

Another thing the PR hacks are desperately trying to claim is the dossier put together by Christopher Steele has been discredited. But actually the opposite is true.

Now admittedly the pissing prostitutes part of the dossier is probably a false flag and maybe even put in there so Putin could track who he needs to kill next.

But just as Rep Adam Schiff pointed out in the hearing the other day more and more details included in that dossier have actually been confirmed.

The thesis that the Russians are only really interested in fostering discord is a compelling one and the divisive two party system in the US makes this even easier. You (the US) seem to waste an inordinate amount of time, effort and money by allowing both sides to dismantle each other policies each time they gain power. With no consensus you never have any long term policies but the current administrations idiot in charge seems to be going too far just for the hell of it. Censoring the country's scientists and placing a Bannonite in every committee to report back are both indicators of authoritarianism........as is the war with the media!

You will never get the deficit under control and develop any social justice program so long as the poltical extremes both reverse each other's policies just because it is "their turn"!

@thinskin; I agree that a great leader has the ability to unite the opposing sides in government. Obama made scant effort in that regard and as a country we paid the price. Hopefully Trump will be better at it, but the political atmosphere in the US is so toxic he may do well just to stem the hate filled rhetoric some and get on with business.
Shooter does not so much agree with your assessment that our two party system is less efficient because the party in power spends time dismantling the policies of the party they replace.

Shooter does wonder when and why Russia became our enemy again. It seems to have started before the last election process, before the hacking stories broke. It seems to have started when Russia began to get it's poop in a group with Putin.

Americans can't get their shit together enough to unite with each other and not fight with each other. A good old fashion war might unite the nation , yes ?

 

If every one in the country is busy fighting with one another doesn't that leave us vulnerable in so many different ways ?
