Money is a game. There should be a constitutional amendment that forces the federal government to live within its means except in times of war.

 

The same Republican's in Congress who advocate a balanced budget amendment cut taxes for the rich and raise spending for the United States Department of Offense.

 

Why worry about paying it off, when the leftists '20 candidates want to explode it?

To me this is not a partisan issue. I favor a flat tax for individuals and businesses of all types and a balanced budget amendment.

I understand the US tax code is over 10000 pages long and it should be less than one.

 

I doubt we see a change in any budget issues.

The National debt will remain as a debt as long as entitlements (mandatory spending) is a fixture in our society.

The progressive tax based system will also remain, business needs tax incentives, actually is requires it.

 

If one can anticipate expenditures even in entitlement programs, one could set a flat tax rate that could bring down the deficit and eventually erase it.

However a flat tax would be fiercely opposed by the rich because they have crafted god knows how many tax shelters and also by the poor who also want to pay as little as possible.

 

The ''rich'' still pay the majority of taxes required to operate this country as it stands today.

I would claim that a much better idea would be to cut the mother fucking federal fucking government spending...cut that shit in half, right the fuck now.
