Michael Wolff's book "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" is debuting at No. 1 on The New York Times' best sellers list.
The controversial book about President Trump's chaotic White House was released four days early amid intensive news coverage and a legal threat from one of Trump's personal attorneys.

The publisher, Henry Holt & Co., has struggled to keep up with demand for the hardcover book. The company has received orders for more than one million copies, according to a person involved in the book's release.

Henry Holt declined to comment on Wednesday. But earlier this week, the CEO of Henry Holt's parent company, Macmillan, said "we have never seen a book sell at this rate here at Macmillan."

Excerpts first came out one week ago. The explosive quotes attributed to Steve Bannon sent the book to No. 1 on Amazon's best selling books chart. It has stayed on top ever since.

Amazon now shows a two to four week delay in hardcover deliveries. The publisher has come under criticism for not printing more copies in advance of the release date.

But Macmillan's CEO, John Sargent, told the Wall Street Journal that there "we would never have predicted" Trump's attacks against the book "and thus never have predicted the full scope of demand."

Efforts by Trump to suppress the sale of this book will demonstrate how accurate it is.

Jeff Bezos founded Amazon and has bought The Washington Post. He has also become the richest man in the world.

Amazon will earn a small fortune selling Fire and Fury. Bezos hates Trump and wants to destroy him the way The Washington Post destroyed Nixon. He is not an enemy for Trump to trifle with.

Underscoring the power of the media to destroy or to build.
Unfortunately, today's media has forgotten it's fundamental rule of reporting only the unbiased truth.
To compare Bezos and his media kingdom with the Washington Post in the days of Nixon is a fundamental offense to the media that protected us from Nixon.

The Washington Post is working to protect us from Trump. Every columnist for the Post, even the Republicans ones, are writing hit pieces on Trump. With Trump "the unbiased truth" is a hit piece.

Fire and Fury Author Makes Game Changing Confession

Michael Wolff, the disgraced author of Fire and Fury, made a confession on Monday that destroys all credibility of his book. Although he claimed that the vice president and the cabinet all think President Trump is loopy, never talked to a single one of them. How could they have told him these things if they never talked to him? Two words, Steve Bannon. Most people don’t remember but at the beginning of the campaign Bannon was a NeverTrumper.

He even had an opposition research paper he shopped around to the media claiming that Trump had business dealings with the mob. How unusual. A New Yorker builder using a concrete company and trash hauler run by the mob. Try to find either that are not owned by the mob. Of course, you can always use packed dirt and hoard your garbage.

Wolff was interviewed by Norah O’Donnell who asked him if he talked to the vice president or the cabinet officials. He told O’Donnell that he didn’t Then he said he talked to President Trump for three hours. O’Donnell pointed out that Trump said he did no interview with Wolff either.

    From The Daily Caller

Wolff then reiterated claims he’d spent nearly three hours with the president for the book. O’Donnell said, “The president denies he ever spoke to you for this book, at all.”

Wolff responded, “I probably think he had no idea he was speaking to me for this book. When I would meet the president in the White House we would chat as though we were friends.”

“But that’s not an interview, to greet someone and say, ‘Hello,’” O’Donnell responded. “That’s not a journalistic exercise.”

But in the book Wolff wrote

“For Steve Mnuchin and Reince Priebus, he was an ‘idiot.’ For Gary Cohn, he was ‘dumb as shit.’ For H.R. McMaster he was a ‘dope.’ The list went on.”

But since he didn’t talk to them where did he get the quotes from? He’s a fraudster and I hope some of the people mentioned in the book sues him and the publisher.

    Ah. Shooter sees your problem.
The assumption is we need to be protected from Trump.

With Nixon, the Post reported the unbiased facts based on real investigative reporting.
They did their job, no matter whose Ox was gored.

With Trump they start with the assumption that Trump is bad.
    Then write their articles.

But as it turns out, the hero's of the Nixon scandal, Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein happen to agree with Shooter's thoughts, and find your smugness and self righteousness offensive.

    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/b...lf-righteousness-toward-trump/article/2644655

"The tone is a big issue here," added Woodward. "In lots of reporting, particularly on television commentary, there’s a kind of self-righteousness and smugness and people kind of ridiculing the president. When we reported on Nixon, it was obviously a very different era but we did not adopt a tone of ridicule. The tone was, what are the facts?"

And Bannon trying to kiss Trumps ads didn't help at all. It can't since he can't deny the quotes in the book. He is on tape and he knows it.

And this actually proves once again that Trump is totally detached from reality. There are federal libel laws for him to look at. Libel laws vary from state to state.

This is false. Wolff has been doing great on tv and Trump is failing

Michael Wolff's book about the Trump White House has created the type of publishing sensation normally associated with J.K. Rowling's stories.

The publisher, Henry Holt, said Thursday that 1.4 million hardcover copies have been ordered. The publisher is printing more copies as fast as it can.

"The book is already in its eleventh printing in less than one week of publication, with more printings scheduled," the company said in a press release. "A significant number of books will be arriving in stores by the end of the week."

In effect, the company is saying to annoyed customers: "Thank you for your patience!"

Henry Holt was caught off guard by the extraordinary number of orders for "Fire and Fury" last week.

Amid criticism, the company said it couldn't have possibly forecast the demand for the book ahead of time, because it didn't know that Trump would send a cease and desist letter to try to stop publication...

On Wednesday, The New York Times said the book would debut at No. 1 on its weekly best sellers list.

Wouldn't you be squirming too. Here he is a third rate gossip columnist who found himself inside the White House with a "Blue Badge." And he proceeded to write the only gossip book he knew how to write. And the just two astronomical things about this are.

One, that this guy had this kind of access proves the White House is a threat to national security.

And two, gossip columnists are seldom wrong.

Where I get my information had nothing to do with what Wolf himself stated.

Wolff's book has shown enough holes, that at the least, sloppy editing by the writer and the publisher, both of which undermine a book which seems to have been rushed to the presses for the holiday sales, than waiting while making sure all the 'i's' were dotted and the 't's' crossed to make it more than an anecdotal gossip book..

So agree, and that's where the corporate Dems and Free traders were wrong, believing that there'd be a seamless transition to the new markets of globalism. They let communities from the urban centers to the outlands languish..
I saw a post on the most unemployed areas, and a few of the areas the mentioned in SoCal I saw the process of stagnation in effect back in '92 when i was doing TDY at March AFB in Riverside County off I-15.. Economic andpolitical opportunism over-road threw many people under the bus to where their circumstances have deteriorated to this date

I can't understand what happened. Once this country was able to build roads and bridges all over our country.
We cannot even afford to repair them today.

Revenues from lower paid work force of the many were not enough, and the higher taxes needed were resistedby those who've worked their butts off just to have what they have.. Empty cookie-jar syndrome in the end, and things get pushed down the road to the point of 'only when its urgent'.

I was thinking the costs now related to building or repairing a road or bridge but not connected to the actual building was a big part of the problem.
Paperwork and permits are more costly than the actual materials and labor costs.

    Why yes!
We know that the Clintons saw Haiti as nothing but a publicity opportunity and perhaps an opportunity to "redirect" some of their foundation money.
Not that they'd say that out loud. Cause, you know, they had shit to hide.
    Trump doesn't.
He can say shit like "Haiti is a shit hole".

It seems sort of funny to me that so many people will get their panties in a wad because Trump said shit but will not even bat an eye when a president beats off and shoots his wad in sinks all over the white house. Even when he is caught getting a blow job by a young woman and shoots his wad all over her dress. Then to top all of that he sticks his cigar up a girls pussy and then smokes it.

Well, but the Haitians didn't agree to let Trump call them a "shithole".
We all know Monica was in full agreement with President Clinton. Right up to the part where he said he didn't have sex with that woman.

Remember, Clinton was outed by ML's loose lips to her confidant.. As LBJ, JFK, Ike, Truman, FDR had their indiscretions-for the sake of the game of the image of the office, which itself was deified and mystified with an aura fed to we in our school indoctrinations of the virtuousness of our republican govenment. The crassness and double-standards were managed and spun in-line with the myths of governance. Trump's autocratic tendencies tear away the curtain of the image of political service to where it was headed before his acceleration of what was (always cynically) suspected-every dog for his own agenda

      Human Nature A-&-8's..
And a good segway to and about demographics of those in coastal metropolises to those in the fly-over country.. Even in places like my former hometown, Syracuse, I noticed how folks, both black and white, who stayed in 'Cuse for the emotional convenience, were different in nuanced ways to those who left town 'looking for more'. The 'more' isn't so much the tangibles or intangible closeness-to-the-action, but the physics and chemistry of interactions beyond the provincial homogeneity of familiarity. As John Boehner noted about getting too far away from the crowd, there's been a de facto emotional gulf between those exposed to a broader range of tolerances to those with a narrower range of tolerances THEY HAD TO DEAL WITH. The years after Clinton have highlighted this emotional spectrum

One of my main speculations is "What if.." our sensitivities were meant for more sublime signal reception and transmission? Instead of huddling in cultural exo-wombs, we are mobile pods like the rovers on Mars, picking up-figuratively and literally-communications from sources other than for our immediate physical maintenance and sustenance..

Words DO carry a gravitas of meaning that have their impact as much as a stone's compression on its target of collision.. Some meanings have a narrow, though important subjective significance; while other meanings have a broader universal (may I say "cosmic"?) meaning and utility
