The Benefits of Smoking Cigarettes

Who says smoking cigarettes is so bad ... well, aside from the World Health Organization, Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and every medical board and association on the face of the Earth?

But for those smokers are fortunate enough to dodge all that cancer, heart disease, emphysema and the like, they will be uniquely protected for reasons unexplained by science against a handful of diseases and afflictions.

Call it a silver lining in their otherwise blackened lungs. Although long-term smoking is largely a ticket to early death, here are five possible benefits from smoking. Breathe deep.

1. Smoking lowers risk of knee-replacement surgery.

2. Smoking lowers risk of Parkinson's disease.

3. Smoking lowers risk of obesity.

4. Smoking lowers risk of death after some heart attacks.

5. Smoking helps the heart drug clopidogrel work better.

"Daddy, what is the drug "clopidogrel" used for?"

Honey, if that drug interests you, then you should look it up on the internet.

"Daddy, I think that I will because you have a bottle of it in your medicine cabinet."

 

They also go good while drinkin.


You know whats annoying? People who get all ass chapped over cigarettes...we do not care what you think, go to hell.

Smoking is bad for your personal health & that of your loved ones. It does lessen the surplus population, have more Old Age Security to go around, keep doctors busy and finally creates multiple employment opportunities.

Makes you look like a badass, despite the fact it's slowly killing you.

Years ago I became the arbitration representative for my friend, who could smell cigarette smoke coming from a cigarette maybe a half block away on the other side of the street. You'd have to look to know that it existed. She fought her employer, a large county in California, for nearly a year, and won the right to a smoke-free building. Her union wouldn't take the case. I took it, doing practically no work for about a year while I collected info from all over the world on second-hand smoke.

She used to come home from work blue, even though the smokers were confined to specific areas. It didn't matter. They nearly killed her. Once she won, she turned a nice normal shade of pink and stayed that way all day long. The entire county went non-smoking within a year. No one, not employees, not county citizens, could smoke within the buildings, not even in the bathrooms. When my friend was transferred to another location she didn't have to go through the same arbitration over again. That year-long fight together turned us into boyfriend and girlfriend, and we are still friends decades later.

 

The Duke smokes 5 packs a day till he lost one of his lungs. FYI.

 

My sister lost one of her lungs to smoke, quit smoking on a dime after that.

 

Smoking must be good for you.

After all, it cures thousands of fish every day...

 

My grandfather smoked unfiltered Camels until he was 87 years old.
