According to Comey's pre-released testimony, when it comes to Trump's house, it looks Comey is putting on a new roof and re-pointing the chimney while he's up there.

He DID inf0rm Trump that he WAS NOT under investigation.

While Trump did ask if he could drop the Flynn investigation, "no pressure" and never suggest dropping the overall Russian investigation.

 

Oh, and furthermore, during the Congressional hearings today, Democrap committee members kept asking intelligence agency leaders questions that were repeatedly replied to with reminders that the questions they were asking could not be answered in open session. Well, Stephen King's "Cujo" looked like a playful puppy compared to the rabid dogs growling at people who told them they'd be glad to answer those questions in closed session.

Trump asked Comey to drop his investigation into the former national security adviser Gen Michael Flynn, Comey’s first written account of his interactions says.

“I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go,” the president is alleged to have told Comey in the White House in February. “He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go.”

Comey, who was subsequently dismissed by Trump, writes that he understood the president to be asking him to drop the investigation into Flynn, an intervention he found “very concerning”.

Comey’s statement for the record was released on Wednesday ahead of his eagerly awaited appearance before the Senate intelligence committee on Capitol Hill on Thursday. Over seven pages, he provides intriguing detail about his private conversations with Trump, including a 30 March phone call in which Trump asked what Comey could do to “lift the cloud” of the Russia investigation.

The document appears certain to become the focus of an investigation into whether Trump is guilty of obstruction of justice, an offence for which he could be impeached.

Watching these hearings literally put me to sleep for a few minutes there, best snooze I've had in a long time.

 

I was out all morning, so I didn't get to catch any of it, but from watching the Fox News wrapup, it sounds like The NY Slimes took a big hit as far as media goes. That and Low-retta Lynch from what I'm hearing. She asked Comey to not refer to his Clinton investigation as an "investigation", but as a "matter". And he said he was uncomfortable with that because it tracked more towards Hillary's language when she was saying it was a "security inquiry". (If you recall, he had come right out during the campaign and said, "that 'inquiry' is not a word we use. We conduct investigation.s")

 

Oh, and one more. "Russia's involvement did not change any votes."
