I was thinking back to my childhood and started thinking about when my parents would scare the shit out of me. Anybody else have parents that would do that shit??? If so what was the scariest thing your parents ever did to you? (I'm very bored btw)

Here's mine...

My mom had asked me to go get the dirty clothes from their closet and me being the good child I was went right away and when I opened the door and my dad fuckin popped out of the closet dressed like Freddy Kruger, with the whole mask, hat, t-shirt, and the scary ass finger blades and I swear I started running for my life and screamed all the way outside the house...I'll never forget it. I was probably like 7 or 8 at that time.

Nope, never had scary parents...my bros would scare the crap (not literally) out of me though...I got them back once every so often...

Mostly just jumping out from behind things, etc.

My parents used to tie me up and put me in a birdcage and cover it with a blanket and leave me in there for about an hour than they would lift the cover really fast and they both would be wearing these ugly masks and I would scream in terror for like 30 seconds and they would put the blanket back down. Than they would do it again. They always did that to me because they thought it was funny. Parents can be such a hoot.

 

I dont know who David Lynch is perhaps you watched too many.
My parents really did this too me and it scared the hell outta me as a kid. Perhaps David Lynch was related to them.

I think it was a birdcage. It was big and had bars all around it. I was only 5 at the time.

My father always stressed safety when I was a kid...keep the doors locked at all times and look out the window first before answering the door, etc. One time there was a knock at the door so i looked out the window that was next to the front door to see who it was. At first I couldn't make out what I was looking at when all of a sudden, I saw a man's face pressed against the window and it made me scream.

It was my dad....

They also let me watch a scary movie that gave me nightmares and traumatized me for YEARS!!! I always hated the dark and scary things.

 

I don't remember the name of it but it had mushroom-headed aliens in it and if their arm with the hand still attached to it fell off, it could still crawl around by itself. That hand and arm crawled up my bed and behind the couch for years!!!

He recalled once how his room had a side door from outside, and when he was 13 his dad wore a hockey mask, with fake blood all over a white t-shirt kicked down that door at 3am revving a chainsaw running into his room

I was expecting to see some ugly shit shots here! ha ha Another thread had me expecting this. Scary movies don't get to me, there's been a few good ones though.
The one discussed here, I think I have seen something like this...the disembodied hand, having a part in this. A schoolmate(college 90s) was scared by a movie for some time, it was called "C.H.U.D."; I also like "psychomania" ==this about British bikers and the paranormal, as well as "American Gothic"--see it with a buzz on!==

 

I don't remember it, but apparently my mother rammed me head first through her twat.

I almost forgot!
My dad let me watch war newsreels(for good reason)I saw the deathcamps, in great detail, as well as the way POW's Canadian, Brit, American, were treated in their prision camps. This was very scary, not much affects me comparatively, in as far as images I see.
