    I strongly disagree that being submissive or bottom has any logical thing to do with being feminine or female.

    It's usually more of a self-control issue, as in, someone who wants to "let go" of being strongly in control or socially dominant by virtue of appearance, social status, wealth, etc...

    The "controlled", permitted release of control to a dominant or top is a form of escapism, a "pressure valve" if you will.

    Obviously this control-escapism isn't the only reason people choose to be submissive, but it is VERY common as a reason.

    Yes, that does apply to me as well wherein regard to sex with other men, it's only about being dominated only to return to my "normal" day-to-day life of usually being the one in charge to an almost OCD level.
