I HEARD the interview from the London Mayor and he said that people should not be alarmed about the extra number of armed police on London streets following this last attack. Trump either cant read more than 5 words without becoming bored, or he deliberately changed what was said to underline his racist views. London and the UK have not brought this on themselves by letting in unlimited Muslims from Syria etc. We live in a civilised mixed society, most of the current crop of jihadists are born, or at least grew up in the UK. You have plenty of white homegrown nutters as well as your quota of jihadist muslims. You also have - LIKE WE DO- many, many peaceful white and Muslim people who just want to live in peace, obey the laws and get on with their lives

 

The liberal media (ABC) is reporting that one of the three terrorists was well known to authorities. It's good to know that British authorities took such great measures to keep the people of Britain safe.

WELL DONE ACES & 8s well informed as usual..........the three terrorists weren't arrested, they were shot by the police within minutes... The arrests that followed were mainly family members and friends taken in for questioning- most of those have subsequently been released.
The authorities Knew about at least one of them and investigated him several years ago. But at the time they decided he wasnt a threat, obviously he changed . You cannot stop all nutters. In the last 5 months 5 major active plots have been stopped, bombs discovered etc. The police always said that some will get through, you cannot arrest every potential terrorist, just like you we are a free country. But before posting your prejudiced rubbish, try to be informed.

 

It would've been nice if they shot them before they got to kill innocent people. One of the three was already well known to British police, but that couldn't happen though because it wouldn't have been politically correct.

 

Bit difficult to shoot people before they do anything wrong, not politically incorrect just illegal. Though looking at many of the postings on here being brown, black or Muslim is grounds to shoot them.

 

I respectfully disagree. It is true that one of he pillars of the conservative/Republican/Tea Party/White Supremacists is using fear and hate for political gain. But it is a little different with Trump. First he is the classic bully/coward. His bravado is nothing more than is desperate attempt to hide his own fear. And second, he is mentally ill and is terrified that he will be exposed for the lying coward fraud that he really is. And so he projects that fear on others and tries to spread it to anyone he can.

It is always so refreshing to hear from someone who actually knows and speaks the truth. Over hear we have Trump as the Bigot/Racist in Chief which unleashes the bigots and racists to spr3ead fear, hate and lies just like he does and they actually celebreate their profound ignorance.

And you also make a great point about our own homegrown terrorists. We have terrorist attacks over here all the time. But since they are committed by white supremacists and Christian fanatics, as well as Trump supporters, they are largely ignored and never called what they really are; terrorist attacks.

What is also being reported is May was in charge of counter terrorism for nearly 10 years and actually cut the funds for keeping track of potential terrorists which makes keeping track of all of them impossible.

And we should be looking in our own backyard to see the danger because Trump, his administration and the Republicans are also cutting funds that are needed to fight domestic terrorism. And much worse Trump is too busy playing golf to appoint people to fill key positions that are responsible for US counter terrorism programs.

It is amazing isn't it? They don't even realize what they are proposing amounts to terrorism. And they hate our constitution and everything America is supposed to stand for because they are driven by fear, hate, bigotry, and racism and want to kill everyone except them. And Trump as the Bigot/Racist in Cheif gives them license to actually do it.

 

So let the attacks continue. As long as we remain pc, all will be well.

Homegrown or lone wolf terrorism is the most difficult to combat and the resources needed to monitor all of the potential agitators on the off chance that they go off is not only cost prohibitive but time prohibitive as well . As such intelligence must weed out the worst of the worst and focus on them and their network with the hope of preventing events like those that happened over the last few weeks and may need to include setting aside their civil liberties to a point if there is actionable intel on them and therein lies problem number one and the outcry would be swift and loud . It is not like they advertise the precise moment that they will strike but in hindsight when you hear that they were on the radar and still able to carry out their deeds , any sane person would shake their head . But ask yourself if you want to give up your right to privacy so that authorities can better do their job ? When it comes to having to eliminate your own citizens that are causing this destruction it gets a little into a grey area .
Personally where we are , we shoot first and don't bother with questions since their right to remain silent left along with their last breath and we can spot them easier in the open then can those in populated areas such as London where they blend in .
Border security is the biggest concern and that is where it should start and end as far as seeing where people are going to before returning to the country they left to be trained in how to commit murder en mass !
