The real solution is to;
a) close the asylum law loop holes
b) Allow (require) asylum and immigration applications to be processed in our embassies
c) Find and prosecute the people organizing these caravans
d) Build the fucking wall

The idea that these people are coming here for a better life and to avoid the violence in their own countries begs the question;

Why America? They don't speak our language, so they face problems just communicating with the government and employers etc., they have to trek thousands of dangerous miles to get here, and when they do they discover that they are no longer welcomed with open arms and a green card.

Because they've been told America is the promised land; get on American soil and you'll be allowed to work here, send your kids to school here, get free medical care, and with a half decent attorney you can stay here for years. That's why they still come.

If they went to other South American countries, they'd speak the language at least. And, the trek would be shorter if not as dangerous.
Of course, no other country offers jobs, education or free medical care just because one manages to sneak across our border.

Now the fraud makes much of how the Trump administration "snatches babies from the bosoms of mothers and throws them in cages, to be spirited away in the night to never see their families again" but the fraud is ................... a fraud.

And is Shooter the only one who notices that the frauds first line of attack for anyone not in lockstep with the fraud's agenda is to spew that they're stupid, and don't post enough, and so forth?

This is worth putting up in at least two places. Because it actually is about the children. Jesus Christ WE (since it is OUR government) are guilty of kidnapping, child abuse, and negligence. I have no comparison in my lifetime of anything even close to this when it comes to deliberate cruelty and government incompetence. House Dems Vote To Subpoena Trump Admin Officials Over Family Separations

WASHINGTON (AP) — A House committee voted Tuesday to subpoena Trump administration officials over family separations at the southern border, the first issued in the new Congress as Democrats have promised to hold the administration aggressively to count.

The decision by the Oversight Committee will compel the heads of Justice, Homeland Security and Health and Human Services to deliver documents.

The committee’s chairman, Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland, has pledged to press the administration for documents and testimony on a wide swath of issues, but family separation was among his first priorities.

“I believe this is a true national emergency,” Cummings said. “When our own government rips children from the arms of their mothers and fathers with no plans to reunite them – that is government-sponsored child abuse.”

Cummings said committee members have been seeking the documents for seven months.

The Oversight Committee is seeking details on the children separated, location and facility where they were held, details on the parents, information on efforts to restore children to their parents, and whether parents were deported.

Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, the committee’s ranking Republican, sent Cummings a letter arguing that the subpoenas would not be necessary, and that the administration had produced hundreds of pages of documents in response to earlier requests for information.

*“We should not rush to compel documents from the departments, especially when they have sought to comply with your request voluntarily,” Jordan wrote.

Other Republicans said the committee should go through the paperwork they have on hand before deciding whether the agencies haven’t complied with the request, and ask for data related to separations under the Obama administration.

Cummings said the documents submitted were vastly incomplete.

“The information we got was not one name, not one number,” Cummings said. “Zilch.”

The House Judiciary Committee authorized a subpoena to compel then-acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker to testify if necessary, but it was never served.

If officials don’t comply, the committee and eventually the full House could vote to hold the department in contempt, setting up a potentially lengthy court battle.

More than 2,700 children were separated from their parents at the border last year under a zero-tolerance policy by then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions that criminally prosecuted anyone caught crossing the border illegally.

Because children can’t be placed with their parents in jail, they were separated. Watchdog reports have found the administration was not prepared to manage the aftermath of the separations, and had no way to track the families together and did not have a way to reunite them until a federal judge stepped in.

An internal watchdog report recently found that thousands more children than previously thought could have been separated before the zero-tolerance policy officially began. Immigration officials are allowed to separate children if there is a concern for the child’s well-being, if a parent has a criminal charge, or if there are serious health risks.

Thousands of migrant youth allegedly suffered sexual abuse in U.S. custody

Thousands of allegations of sexual abuse against unaccompanied minors (UAC) in the custody of the U.S. government have been reported over the past 4 years, according to Department of Health and Human Services documents given to Axios by Rep. Ted Deutch's office.

Allegations against staff members reported to the DOJ included everything from rumors of relationships with UACs to showing pornographic videos to minors to forcibly touching minors’ genitals.

By the numbers: From October 2014 to July 2018, the HHS' Office of Refugee Resettlement received 4,556 complaints, and the Department of Justice received 1,303 complaints. This includes 178 allegations of sexual abuse by adult staff.

What they're saying: Deutch said these documents were included in HHS' response to a House Judiciary Committee request for information made in January.

"This behavior — it's despicable, it's disgusting, and this is just the start of questions that HHS is going to have to answer about how they handle these and what's happening in these facilities," Deutch told Axios.

HHS' response, per spokeswoman Caitlin Oakley:

“The safety of minors is our top concern when administering our unaccompanied alien children program. Each of our grantees running standard shelters is licensed by the respective state for child care services. In addition to other rigorous standards put in place by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) at HHS' Administration for Children and Families, background checks of all facility employees are mandatory."

“These are vulnerable children in difficult circumstances, and ORR fully understands its responsibility to ensure that each child is treated with the utmost care. When any allegations of abuse, sexual abuse, or neglect are made, they are taken seriously and ORR acts swiftly to investigate and respond."

Details: One of the documents given to Axios, embedded below, gives some detail about the allegations, although it only includes descriptions of the incidences for fiscal years 2015 and 2016. We also don't know what happened to the accused staffers in fiscal years 2017 and 2018.

Based on the information provided in the documents, it's unclear whether there's overlap between allegations reported to ORR and those made to DOJ. Axios assumed that some OOR allegations are referred to DOJ, so the numbers included in our chart are conservative.

All allegations referred to DOJ are also referred to HHS, according to the documents.

In many cases, the staff members were removed from duty and ultimately fired.

Former Trump refugee director did not notify superiors about family separation warnings

The controversial former head of the HHS Office of Refugee Resettlement told a House panel Tuesday that he did not pass along warnings about the psychological impact of separating children from their families.

Under questioning from Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee, Scott Lloyd said he did not tell his superiors that separating children from families could have lasting health consequences.

Lloyd’s testimony was the first time he has spoken about the policy since it was implemented under his watch.

Commander Scott White, a top career official in the public health service corps, told lawmakers he repeatedly raised concerns with Lloyd as far back as 2017, when the policy was first being discussed internally.

White said he told Lloyd family separation would be inconsistent with the agency’s legal requirement to act in the best interests of children.

White, who is in charge of reunifying separated children with their families, said that Lloyd assured him that no family separation policy would be implemented.

Lloyd was grilled by Rep. Jayapal (D-Wash.) about his conversations with White.

“Did you ever say to the administration, this is a bad idea, this is what my child welfare experts have told us, we need to stop this policy? Did you once say that to anybody above you?” Jayapal asked.

"To answer your last question, I did not say those words," Lloyd said.

Lloyd, who joined HHS in March 2017, was effectively removed from his post in November. He is now a senior adviser at the agency’s Center for Faith and Opportunity Initiatives.

His tenure at ORR was rocky and dogged by controversy. Aside from separated children, he also faced scrutiny and outrage from abortion rights groups and congressional Democrats for his role in blocking unaccompanied minors in federal custody from getting abortions.

Lloyd’s testimony comes a month after a report from an HHS watchdog found the Trump administration separated thousands more migrant children from their parents than was previously known. Those separations occurred before the “zero tolerance” policy was implemented.

The policy from then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions was publicly announced in April 2018 and created a massive outcry. The backlash forced the administration to walk it back three months later.

More than 2,600 children remained separated from their parents when a federal court ordered the administration to reunite them.

DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen claimed on Wednesday that she did not know how many migrant children had been detained by her department.

During a House Homeland Security hearing, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) asked the DHS secretary if she knows “how many young people are detained.”

“I don’t have that number in front of me,” Nielsen said.

Lee also asked Nielsen if her duty is to the U.S. Constitution or President Donald Trump. Nielsen agreed that she had given her oath to the U.S. Constitution and the American people.

Heres the logic:
In response to reports of caravans of thousands of central Americans headed for our borders to demand asylum President Trump imposes a daily limit of how many asylum seekers will be processed. This in turn has forced the migrants away from major border entry points and to minor entry points even less able to handle crowds (as many as 100 at a time demanding asylum).

No matter that record crowds have been organized and driven (literally) to the border entry points, overwhelming all of our border points.

So we can see, trump has forced a near doubling of ILLEGAL migrants entering our country.

Nope, no border emergency at all. Just ask the media.

Trump Administration Deported 471 Parents From the U.S. Without Their Kids

At least 471 parents were deported from the United States without their children, according to new court filings. The Trump administration previously admitted that parents were removed from the country without their children, but the latest report from a family-separation lawsuit provides an updated count. The document states some of the parents were deported “without being given the opportunity to elect or waive reunification” in accordance with a court order in June 2018 that forced the government to better document waivers, CNN reports. But a Department of Homeland Security spokesman says, prior to the order, separated parents were routinely asked by Immigration and Customs Enforcement if they wished to be reunited with their children before being deported. The filings also provide an update on reunifications: 2,741 of 2,816 children have been discharged from government care, up six from the last count in February.
