U.S. pulls out of nonbinding Paris Climate Accord. Which is a real win win for U.S. citizens. President Trump announced his decision in the Rose Garden. It was received very positive. It puts the U.S. back on a level economic playing field with the rest of the world.

What do you mean "level playing field?" Everyone else is honoring the Accord.

Global warming is one area where countries need to consider the well being of the world, not of their own economy.

He also said that we'll negotiate a treaty that makes sense. And you can bet your hat that the new treaty, if any, will go absolutely NOWHERE unless it receives a 2/3rds Senate majority.

Remember: Global Warming is a Chinese hoax.

Perhaps people like to say that climate change is man-made simply because they have created an arrogance that humans are capable of change like this on a global scale .

One thing that's for damn sure is that there will be another Ice Age . And everything that man is doing right now is not going to stop that inevitability .

 

The world hasn't warmed at all in the past 20+ years. Hide the decline, folks, hide the decline.

 

Yup thats it lets just stay dependant on fossil fuels foever becuase that's worked out so well for everyone. We can just sit back and watch as the rest of the world advances.

China is producing twice the CO2 emissions of the United States .

Of course it wants the United States to be at an economic disadvantage by forcing companies to be weighed down with emission controls .

I'm just amazed that the Chinese got away with this hypocrisy for so long.

I just wish the Trump or somebody would smile and say to China : nice try

Erm.... like India? Under the Paris accords they get billions in graft. Last I checked they aren't building any windmills.

Like China? Before their recession, they were commissioning a new coal plant every week.

Like Germany? Merkel shut down all their nuclear reactors and forced Germany to go solar. Now electricity is so expensive in Germany that Der Spiegel has declared energy to a be a "luxury commodity."

To replace fossil fuels, we must develop SUPERIOR technology. Not "alternative/green" feel-good crap. SUPERIOR technology cannot come from a stone age economy. We need maximal productivity, to generate the capital necessary to replace fossil fuels.

 

Business will always turn to the cheapest energy source .

Consumers will demand this also as long as it is true

Right now the cheapest energy source is fossil fuels.

Some smaller countries can depend on geothermal but that's impractical in this country

I don't see any country of any significance in the world moving away from fossil fuels in any significant way for a very long time

The big losers here? China, India and Germany. The rest were already bottom feeders with no skin in the game.

Let the market develop a better fuel. The taxpayers have already financed enough losers who were going to come up with a replacement for fossil fuels.
No one is stopping the other countries from getting away from fossil fuels. They are free to use any type of fuel they want.

After the last 8 years, isn't it fantastic that we have a president that puts the interests of U.S. citizens ABOVE all else!

 

We pissed away trillions on green. We knew green can't replace fossil fuel. failure upon failure.
and yet, still, some people want green.

We just need to make fossil fuels cleaner and more efficient. And we're doing just that.

I don't see wind farms, or solar panels all over the place.
