Van Jones: Clinton Campaign 'Took a Billion Dollars and Set It on Fire'

Liberal commentator Van Jones blasted the Clinton presidential campaign for setting $1 billion "on fire."

Speaking at "The People's Summit" convention in Chicago, Jones said Democrats were "tricked into fighting among ourselves over the wrong issues."

Jones, who served as President Obama's so-called "green jobs czar," said the campaign gave itself a false choice during the election.

He said that they acted like they had to choose between a focus on "people of color, racial justice, ... or the white working class."

"That is the stupidest false choice I have ever heard," Jones said.

He said the Clinton campaign did none of the above and spent the money on "themselves" by hiring consultants and pollsters.

"They took a billion dollars... and set it on fire and called it a campaign," Jones said.

"You need to give the money back to the people, period," Jones said. "Quit getting rich off people's struggles."

 

Off with her head!

 

Many people have been saying that for years.

 

Hillary should be commended. She did more for the Republican party than they ever could have done for themselves in winning the election.

 

Who can disagree with such a sensible suggestion?

 

I am pretty sure even Bill would go along with that idea.

 

Did Shillary furnish the marshmellows?

Don't worry. By that time Hillary will not even know who she is or where she is at.
But that didn't stop the democrats from nominating the loser the last time.
Maybe they will be just as stupid next time.

 

I didn't like the lowball comparisons of how much money she spent, back in November/December when the media was trying to diminish the huge disparity between the sizes of the Trump and Clinton campaigns.

They were trying to claim that Clinton only spent a few hundred million dollars, to minimize the disparity. But I always thought it was in fact more like a billion, when you counted in union spending and Super-PAC spending (both of which had minimal/inconsequential impacts on Trump campaign spending).

So I applaud this guy Van Jones, whoever he is, for using a more realistic number. It was more like a billion. Perhaps even more than a billion, though I suppose we'll never really know.

Trump ran the cheapest campaign in American history, in adjusted dollars. Not even compensating for the fact that guys like Jefferson and Washington only had to campaign on the eastern seaboard.

Meanwhile that horsefaced hag ran the most expensive campaign in history.

And lost.

And to this day, she blames it on the Russians and the misogynists.
