Putin's second term is about over. Russia's constitution has a presidential two-term limit, but recently discussion has been bounced around about changing that. He is very popular there (70%). Maybe Putin will take a page out of Hugo Chavez' playbook and just stay where he is, on top, in control and unchallenged.

I'm not a Bush supporter, never have been, so lets get that part out of the way.

What proof do you have? I don't mean news articles, the press twists things out of proportion all the time, but I want hard, factual truth.

I see a lot of people making claims....without proof. If you want me to be on your side, I need to see the proof.

 

China will be the next superpower.They have been building their arms for the last twenty years or more.They haven't forgotten Hiroshima,and they have become quite wealthy.I don't see anyone attacking their shores in the near future.

 

My geography may be a little rusty but last time I looked Hiroshima was still in Japan.

Historically China and japan have a deep enmity so I think it's highly unlikely that they would be working together on anything. But I've been wrong before. There was a time I thought anybody would make a better PM than a Tory. That was before i realised that anyone would make a better PM than a Tony.
