Welp, last night we dusted off the old blu-ray player and popped in Meg. It's about a team that discovers a trench somewhere off China that's deeper than the Philippine Trench. It supposedly had a cold water layer somewhere around midway down that prevented any sea life from raising above so there were species down there from prehistoric times. Hey, it could happen... Anyhoo, a team of scientists are going down into the new found trench with a submersible and get attacked by a giant Megalodon shark. It seems the only guy that can save them is somebody who was actually down there before and lost some shipmates. He was accused of abandoning them by one of the mates so he wasn't exactly trusted on this mission. Oh yeah, his ex-wife is captaining the submersible that's in trouble..... Oh Jesus.....
As far as movies go.... it was okay.

 

I'm watching Squirrels invade my bird feeder! I put a metal bowl upside down on the pole to prevent them climbing up, so now the little bastards are climbing out on small branches and just as the branch can no longer support their weight, they make a suicide leap onto the top of the feeder and hold on for dear life until it stops swinging. I could put sharp objects atop the feeder, but I don't want to hurt the little SOBs

 

Yes Mr Rix, very true! Last year I had set up a tripod with large heavy binoculars on to look across the lake, sometimes college women swim there naked, (I wish, but never saw one!) and a nosy squirrel tried to climb it, pulled it over and killed his skinny ass! Sometimes they outsmart themselves.
