  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

Growing up I had to wear bread bags inside my boots to keep my feet from getting wet!

My family had a party line, so if we picked up the receiver we had to listen to make sure our neighbor wasn't on the line. The lady down the street was a real beezy about it! 8161514a6b3ee5005ef9c988b7fccbc0.png il_794xN.1504610431_122h.jpg

A slide rule (no, not the one that says, "Let the previous slider exit the bottom of the slide before you begin your own slide").

I had one - bought it for a high school class that only taught me that I was not interested in any profession that required the use of a slide rule.

I tend to not follow fashion trends. I don't buy something just because it's "in" and I don't stop wearing it because it's "so last year".
As far as technology goes, probably along the lines of everyone else.
I think the most recent thing I had that I no longer use is my Garmin GPS with the little suction cup that stuck to the windshield. Every vehicle we own has GPS built in now.

"...and having a real person answer."

You could say that about almost any service now. Hell, even 15 years ago, working on printing, any software support that I needed sent through some automated system. "Press 1 to speak with someone in networking, press 2 for...", and when they finally did answer, "Hi, my name is Bob, how can I assist you today.", in a thick Indian accent!

Floppy disks, my dad, and computers, bad mojo just rememdering this, he would call me to come help him, He wouldn't turn over the mouse or keyboard, he would say "how am I gonna learn". Once I figured out what he was trying to do, and tell him click on this, or that, he wouldn't do it, then demand to know why it didn't work. Tell him because you didn't do what I told you, he'd say"well I wanted to see what that would do". God forbid I say something like " and now you know it don't work" . The disrespect, this would go on an hour, two hours, seemed forever.
But to the point I started this unhappy memory on, at one point he got a new computer, you would think someone ran over his dog, burned his car, stole all his money, it didn't have a floppy disk drive. If that weren't enough, he had windows 95, the new one was vista, he was so mad, it didn't work the same, he had to learn it all over, it sat for at least a month.

Mom got him a floppy disk drive that plugged into a usb port, that got him back on it. And the phone calls started all over. I still have the portable floppy drive, collecting dust in a box.

Never buy version 1.0 of anything. Those pens became much better! I used one at my job in the early 2000's and they were pretty good. It did take some getting used to and adjustment of the controls.
