  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Its all hardly surprising .
All societies develope fairly similar rules for survival and order , going back to cavemen drawing on walls.
Patriarchal or matriarchal , they all end up with head honchos , or honchoess's , and they always end up editing the rules and stories and history to suit themselves.

like much , including pornography , nothing's new , so why would the stories in the bible have been something new ?

Not sure it was really that close but yes there have been gods before that had the same drift of the jesus story...

Maybe God had to try his plan a few times over the years...lots of years...

or just Maybe God did not like his kids so he sent them here to teach them a lesson....

Didn't the story of Noah and the ark come from the story of Gilgamesh?

      yep thats another that repeats....

The Sumerian hero Gilgamesh traveled the world in search of a way to cheat death. On one of his journeys, he came across an old man, Utnapishtim, who told Gilgamesh a story from centuries past. The gods brought a flood that swallowed the earth.

The gods were angry at mankind so they sent a flood to destroy him. The god Ea, warned Utnapishtim and instructed him to build an enormous boat to save himself, his family

    What was he really like?
    Let's suppose for a minute.

Suppose you knew from birth what your purpose was. Suppose you knew everything, literally. All knowledge.
Suppose you had a limited amount of time to teach your children important lessons, life and death stuff.
Suppose you had to suffer like no one ever had before or would again, unimaginable and unbelievable suffering.
Suppose that you loved mankind but knew that they were doomed for eternal damnation. That you had the weight of all humanity on your shoulders and the only way that you could give them the chance for salvation was by sacrificing your own life, and you knew all this since you were just a young boy.

What kind of man do you suppose that you would be?

The church has hood winked billions over the years. There are gospels not included in the bible. Most notable Judas and Mary Magadalene.
Some scholars belive that Jesus and Mary Magadalene were marred.
I am a Baptist, I know Jesus was not an only child.
I don't know for sure if he WAS the son of God or not. That is something you will have to decide for yourself. Until it can be proven I'll take it that he is/was on faith.

I like to separate church from faith and God. I have found Church to be full of judgemental hypocrites.

I agree, it's a relationship thing. Not religion.
      Jesus Himself hated religion.

He didn't hate, that is such a strong harsh word and I can see why it is in your vocabulary. Sin displeased him which is all together different from hate.

I do not believe in Jesus Christ or some "son of God". I think that Jesus Christ is a fiction, not a real person. Even if Jesus Christ was a real person I do not believe in Bible's stories about the "son of God".

The oldest known written language and the oldest known civilization, I believe but don't truly know, was that of the Indus Valley. My reading supports the preposition that our modern religious stories can be found to originate with their writings. I do believe we are not sufficiently civilized to live comfortably without something to explain the unexplained -- RELIGION. (How come there is gravity? The gods use it to keep us less holy people out of their world.) As we better understand life (our universe) our need for religion will dissipate. Was there a Jesus? Today's interpretation of what little we know suggests there was such a man. But, the same interpretation suggests there was nothing unique to Jesus.

The Sumerians I believe was the first written language.....

Modern historians have suggested that Sumer was first permanently settled between c. 5500 and 4000 BC by a West Asian people who spoke the Sumerian language (pointing to the names of cities, rivers, basic occupations, etc., as evidence), an agglutinative language isolate.

Ever stop and wonder what an average day was like in one of the ancient civilizations. We could probably relate in many ways, working, eating, sleeping, taking care of your family but I bet it would still be very different.

True, good point. But I am thinking the stories might have lived two thousand years ago in oral traditions and legends. (All legends have an origin.)

Many Biblical stories are probably bogus. For instance the Exodus. No archaelogical record. Probably didn't happen when/where described, if at all. Yet the Flood likely did happen at some point, and whatever evidence exists suggests that if it did happen, the event had to have been thousands of years before the Jews wrote it down. Maybe before civilization, at the close of an Ice Age... something like that.

This Horus Mythology is remarkable in its parallels to the Gospels as we know them, which of course were recorded anywhere from decades to hundreds of years after Christ supposedly died, and were amended/revised regularly throughout the Dark Ages and Middle Ages.

      Shout out to Charlton Heston!
Cool short film but much of that is open to interpretation and you can probably find many other symbols that are not repeated. Many of the depictions of Christ come from European, Renaissance artists and who know where they got their inspiration from. Let's face facts, Jesus wasn't a white dude.
There are also many common threads between Egyptian and South American ancient cultures with no real explanation.
There is so much about ancient history that we just don't know, but we really should discuss it.

    So
    What was Jesus like ,
    well
He was probably the good looking , charismatic
President of the local chapter of
Hadese Donkey Raiders , who trotted round ee oring late at night ,
burning hoof on the cobble stones ,
nicked fish n loaves of bred
got pissed of with ripoff pawnbrokers ,
and rarked up the local cops.
They were a harmless bunch who helped old ladies through the puddles n things like that.
In the end he really really got up the local chapter of the Filthy Few , and their Pres , Pontious , got him nailed up.
Years later , the old reformed donkey raider's remembered the good ole days , when there was good times ,
and told their grankids about him.

It's a thousand pages, give or take a few.
I'll be writing more in a week or two.
I could make it longer if you like the style.
    I can change it 'round,
And I want to be a paperback writer,
    Paperback writer.

If you really like it you can have the rights.
It could make a million for you overnight.
If you must return it you can send it here,
    But I need a break,
And I want to be a paperback writer,

I wish I could do Youtube. Not possible.

We have four Macbooks in the house, but they're family machines so there's no way in hell I can drop into a porn site on them.

When I pop into XNXX, I'm on old Wintel machines in my home office. For safety, the browsers have all Javascript, ActiveX, and plugins disabled. I don't even get the forum's rich text editor when I'm typing this message. Just a plain white text area. When I want to do bold or big type, I type the raw BB-CODE. Pain in the ass. But one little benefit is that I get more colors than most of you. :)

That is pretty dedicated to something and parents learn really quickly to adapt to their environment don't they. Thing is though, most teens would laugh at us if they knew we were on here. They would think it is a little tame for them lol.

Nothing in the New Testament suggests that Mary Magdalen was a prostitute.
