You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

From what I have read from ESPN , SI and the NFL websites Tom Brady is out for the rest of season. The Patriots might have to trade for a quarterback be for the trading deadline. Now we will see how the Patriots will do without Tom Brady..

I Despise the patriots, and i despise Tom "the lady" Brady... This should bring an end to all the sports analysts saying they will go 16-0 again...

Looks like it'll be the Colts Vs. Chargers for the AFC Championship game..

    Go Chargers!

I say they are fine with Cassel. He isn't Brady but he's been in the system long enough. Not too many free agent qb's out there anyways.

The greatest coach in the history of sprots does not need Tom Brady to win it all, they will probably still go 16-0 and the guy who hurt Brady will probably end up in the bottom of some river.

I admit, its a fucking stab to our team, but now all of the people out there who say that we are only good because we have tom brady, let them see how our team steps it up. Everybody thought we were out when Drew bledsoe got injured, but then a lil guy by the name of Thomas came out, and he exploded into the scene, and we won the super bowl that year.
    Don't count out the pats.

    Nightmare scenario

Brady is out for the season

FOXBORO— It was a weekly refrain as the Patriots muddled through their winless preseason — “If anything ever happens to Tom Brady …”

The worst fear of New England football fans became reality yesterday when the Patriots announced Brady suffered a season-ending left knee injury in Sunday’s 17-10 opening game win over the Chiefs.

Brady will require surgery, likely to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament, and be placed on injured reserve.

“I feel badly for Tom,” said Patriots coach Bill Belichick, who would not elaborate on the details of Brady’s injury. “You hate to see anyone go down. Nobody has worked harder and done more for this team than Tom has.”

Brady, the 2007 NFL Most Valuable Player, had started 128 straight games.

Matt Cassel, who completed 13 of 18 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown against the Chiefs, will start Sunday against the Jets. The Patriots have one other quarterback, rookie Kevin O’Connell, on the roster. They most certainly will sign another QB this week.

Belichick said contrary to many reports, the team had not worked out any free agent quarterbacks. Former Tampa Bay quarterback Chris Simms and former San Francisco quarterback Tim Rattay were among those rumored to be coming in for a look.

The 26-year-old Cassel, who has thrown 57 career passes in his four years with the Patriots, filled in for Brady on his weekly WEEI interview yesterday morning.

“Tom’s Tom, and he will probably go down as one of the top five quarterbacks ever to play the game,” Cassel said. “I’m not trying to be Tom Brady. I’m just trying to be Matt Cassel, and I don’t know where that’s going to take us, but I do know I’m going to go out and give 110 percent effort.”

Brady was injured with 7:27 to play in the first quarter of Sunday’s game when blitzing Kansas City safety Bernard Pollard rolled into his left leg. Brady grimaced, grabbed his leg and, according to Pollard, let out a scream, as he went to the ground. With the help of two Patriots trainers, Brady limped off the field and down the stairs to the locker room.

While Brady’s season is over, Patriots players certainly don’t think theirs is.

“You feel bad for Tom, and our thoughts are with Tom,” linebacker Mike Vrabel said, “but life goes on. There are a lot of games left to play. We’ve won a lot of football games around here and that’s not going to change.”

Brady played Super Bowl XLII with an injured right ankle and was held out of the Patriots’ four preseason games because of a right foot injury.

Brady participated fully in practice last week, though he was listed on the team’s first injury report of the season, issued Wednesday, with right shoulder-foot injuries. The next day, his name was removed from the list, marking the first time since the opening game of 2005 Brady was not on the injury report. He had been listed as “probable” with a right shoulder injury for 56 straight games.

Wide receiver Randy Moss said after Sunday’s game he figured Brady’s knee injury was serious when he did not return.

“We’re praying for him,” safety Rodney Harrison said. “He’s a fighter, he’s a tough guy, and he’ll overcome this.”

Harrison suffered a devastating, and at the time thought to be career-threatening, knee injury in 2005, tearing his ACL, MCL and PCL when Steelers receiver Cedrick Wilson fell into his left leg.

“It’s a physical game, a very demanding game physically, as well as mentally,” Harrison said.

“You’re out on the field, there’s a chance you’re going to get hurt.”

Brady is the second sports megastar in the last four months to be shelved with a knee injury. Tiger Woods won the U.S. Open in June with a torn ACL (as well as a double stress fracture of the tibia) and had season-ending surgery shortly after.

Cassel, who started all four exhibition games, did not have a strong preseason, failing to lead any touchdown drives. His future in New England seemed in jeopardy, but the Patriots stuck with him as Brady’s backup.

Cassel’s teammates have rallied around him.

“As an offense, we just have to go out and do our jobs and give him as much support as we can,” left tackle Matt Light said.

“He’s a young guy that’s been in this system and knows this system. He’s worked hard and continues to work hard. As he gets to know the game better, we’re all going to get better.”

Cassel saw limited collegiate action as a backup to Heisman Trophy winners Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart at the University of Southern California. He attempted just 33 passes over four years.

He was a seventh-round draft pick of the Patriots in 2005.

Cassel said during his radio interview yesterday that he has received many supportive text messages, including one from Leinart.

Sunday’s game in New York was supposed to pit future Hall of Famers Brady and Brett Favre, but that’s all changed now, and the Patriots are moving forward.

“It’s Tom Brady, the best quarterback in the league, and obviously it hurts to see him go down like that,” special teams captain Larry Izzo said, “but we’ve all got full confidence in Matt.”
