I believe the travel ban is within the Presidents executive peers. The SCOTUS upheld parts of the bill until October. Had they felt it was blatantly unconstitutional I think they would have acted rather than wait until fall. We will have to wait until then to see.

 

SCOTUS found that the intent of the ban, given voice by POTUS himself, was to target a specific religion. NOT to protect the people of the U.S.. A blatant violation of the First Amendment and the separation of church and state.
