Texas coast ordered to evacuate....

My prayers are with the people on the Texas coast as Hurricane Harvey bears down on them in the next 24 hours and to add injury to insult there there is a tornado warning inland there at the moment as well.

 

Damn, we didn't have Summer this year just Sprall (SPRing & fALL).
So no warming of the old bones for Winter.
As those damn pricks in Alberta said "Let the fuckers freeze."

 

Hard to believe it's the last weekend in August. 78 today. 50's tonight.

 

I saw it got near freezing in Jasper last night and that is only a couple hours from us and you can feel a coolish breeze come in the windows in my room that feels like an autumn breeze. I saw it was that cold in parts of the upper USA northwest last night as well.

It was beautiful here today but like I said there is a hint of fall ... snow is coming !!!

We had a storm here last night that took the sides off of a few buildings downtown last night. I love storms if they don't kill anyone, material things can be fixed.

We're sitting on the outskirts of Hurricane Harvey. 4 inches of rain so far, and it's still raining.
It's going to be a long 4 days worth of rain, and maybe it will wash the love bugs away. we hope.

Yeah, there is a front coming down Texas, a low at the coast, which sucked Harvey up to the coast, and the front is keeping it
stuck over the gulf coast. It's going to sit over us and flood the shit out of the area. I'm high and dry, but there's quite the risk
I may become Hotel Conroe as friends and neighbors become flooded. The phone rang off the hooks last night...

Drier than a popcorn fart here and not a cloud in the sky, mid 20's.

Them poor bastards in Texas are expecting up to 24 inches of rain by Wednesday in some parts including Houston.

 

As usual the sky is above us....

 

In same state as Harvey present time 90 degrees bright sunny a few clouds Heading down to the pool Texas is a big state with lots of nice people

 

Hot...but at least no hurricane.

 

i am about 120 miles from where the storm came in and between it and houston
areas around us are flooding but so far we are good
all ive heard of is 1 death so far and a few injuries
but these storms always leave and the people here go back to living and do what we do every time

 

It was cooler today...am not looking forward to the cold weather...

 

Hurricane Harvey has caused some cruise ships to be stranded at sea because they can't make into Texas ports. That sounds good at first,,, free cruise days. But then many have flights they'll miss, work appointments, etc. I also wonder if those passenger's who drove to the port and left their cars will find them undamaged when they return.

It also effects passengers who will miss their cruise because the ship never made it back to port. It's tough being a vacationer... you buys your tickets and takes your chances.

 

some of those ships went to New Orleans and refuel and stocked food....

cruise line say passengers could depart or stay aboard.....

some schedules are gonna get fucked up for sure.....
