So, Franken groped her in front of her husband? I would think that if he really did this in front of him, the husband would have noticed something and said something. But alas...

      Said something?
If some vermin groped Mrs. Shooter in front of Mr. Shooter, the vermin would get a punch in the mouth at minimum.
And then Mr. Shooter would unlimber his matter transformation unit and give the vermin an introduction into how matter transformation works.

No no no. Groped in front of her husband AND father while she's all smiles. And neither decided to confront! And that Facebook post after her sister complained she wasn't a "Bibles width away" is obviously proof.

Also at the Minnesota State Fair, which is by far one of the most attended state in the United States

If none of you have been there, it's got the best fair food ever. It's a huge competition. Nearly 2 million attendees

Times suspends star White House reporter after sexual harassment claims

    11/20/17

The New York Times suspended one of its top White House reporters, Glenn Thrush, after allegations of years of sexual harassment and groping came to light on Monday.

Four women described “a range of similar experiences, from unwanted groping and kissing to wet kisses out of nowhere to hazy sexual encounters that played out under the influence of alcohol,” according to a Monday story in Vox, whose author also claims that Thrush had made unwanted advances on her.

The married Thrush, 50, is known for breaking deeply reported stories on the Trump White House, and was even parodied by Bobby Moynihan on Saturday Night Live. He is even working on a highly-anticipated book about Trump with colleague Maggie Haberman.

The women he worked with, however, claim he would “lure” them into boozy situations under the guise of work events, and then try to kiss or grope them, according to the article.

The article’s author, Laura McGann, said that Thrush had gone out for drinks after work at a bar near the newsroom of Politico, where they all worked at the time, and then told the other female reporter to leave.

After that, McGann says Thrush boxed her into a booth and tried to kiss her, and that she refused his advances and got out.

The next day, Thrush told male colleagues that she had come on to him, and he rebuffed her — causing her to be looked at differently among her colleagues, McGann said.

“I apologize to any woman who felt uncomfortable in my presence, and for any situation where I behaved inappropriately. Any behavior that makes a woman feel disrespected or uncomfortable is unacceptable,” Thrush said in a statement.

He also pushed back on McGann’s story, saying that the encounter was “consensual, brief, and ended by me.”

“I did not disparage her to colleagues at Politico as she claims,” he added.

Thrush was also accused of groping and trying to kiss a former young Politico reporter in June during a long walk after drinks at a bar, and then walking off to leave her crying and waiting for an Uber alone, according to the story.

“Nice meeting you!” Thrush wrote to her the next day in an email published by Vox. “(And apologies?)”

Thrush claims he stopped drinking in June. Thrush “said he planned to enter a substance abuse program and … the newspaper supported his decision,” according to a Monday report in the Times.

“The behavior attributed to Glenn in this Vox story is very concerning and not in keeping with the standards and values of The New York Times,” Eileen Murphy, a Times spokeswoman, said in a statement to Vox.

“We intend to fully investigate and while we do, Glenn will be suspended. We support his decision to enter a substance abuse program. In the meantime, we will not be commenting further.”

Powerful Dem Rep. John Conyers hit by report on sexual conduct with ex-staffers

Another sexual harassment bombshell is rocking Capitol Hill, after a report claimed powerful Democratic Rep. John Conyers settled a complaint with an ex-employee who said she was fired because she did not “succumb to [his] sexual advances.”

Michigan Rep. Conyers, the longest-serving House member, reportedly settled the case in 2015 after allegedly making repeated sexual advances to female staff.

In documents obtained by BuzzFeed News, several former staff members reportedly accused Conyers of requesting sexual favors, rubbing their hands sexually and rubbing their legs and backs.

The central woman in the case reportedly believed she had no other option than to remain quiet and take the settlement.

“I was basically blackballed. There was nowhere I could go,” she told Buzzfeed News.

Her identity remains anonymous reportedly due to fears of retribution.

Conyers, 88, has served in the House for decades. He was active in the civil-rights movement and helped found the Congressional Black Caucus; he’s now the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee.

House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., called the report “extremely troubling” in a statement released Tuesday. He noted he already had directed “the Committee on House Administration to conduct a full review of all policies and procedures related to workplace harassment and discrimination.”

Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) paid out more than $27,000 from his taxpayer-funded office budget after the woman filed a complaint through Congress’ Office of Compliance in 2014, according to Buzzfeed.

Wow! Bill & Hillary. John & Monica. Lots of Bonnie & Clyde syndrome.

    Conyers's wife pleads guilty

    6/26/09

Monica Conyers, the chairwoman of the Detroit City Council and wife of House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.), pleaded guilty Friday to federal bribery charges, the latest blow to a city still reeling from the collapse of the U.S. auto industry and the jailing of its former mayor.

Monica Conyers pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bribery in connection with a city sludge-hauling scandal. As a member of the Detroit City Council in 2007, Conyers cast the deciding vote in favor of awarding a $1.2 billion contract to Synagro Technologies Inc.

Monica Conyers’s attorney said Friday that she would be sentenced to between 30 and 37 months in federal prison.

John Conyers, who did not attend his wife’s court session, declined to say anything to Capitol Hill reporters about his wife’s guilty plea, but his office later released a statement on the case.

“This has been a trying time for the Conyers family and, with hope and prayer, they will make it through this as a family,” the statement said. “Public officials must expect to be held to the highest ethical and legal standards. With this in mind, Mr. Conyers wants to work towards helping his family and city recover from this serious matter.”

Terrence Berg, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, whose office has conducted a two-year investigation of the Detroit City Council, said no other council member will be charged in the Synagro case, and added “that the evidence offered no suggestion that United States Representative John Conyers, Ms. Conyers’ husband, had any knowledge or role in Ms. Conyers’ illegal conduct, nor did the congressman attempt to influence this investigation in any way.”

Monica Conyers initially opposed the Synagro contract with the city but later reversed her position and cast the critical vote approving it. Her reversal caused uproar inside the city council, and federal investigators soon began looking into allegations of payoffs surrounding her vote.

According to Monica Conyers’s plea agreement with the Justice Department, “During the summer and winter of 2007, both before and after her vote, defendant received cash payments … from an individual sent by Rayford Jackson, a paid consultant for Synagro.”

Jackson pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bribery 10 days ago, leading to heavy speculation in Detroit political circles that Monica Conyers would soon accept a plea deal of her own.

Jackson’s payments to Monica Conyers totaled at least $6,000, according to news reports.

Monica Conyers, 44, was elected to the city council in January 2005, and in September 2008, she was named the council’s interim president.

Her tenure has been marred by controversy and complaints about her personal behavior. Last year, in a dispute during official council proceedings, Conyers called then-council President Ken Cockrel “Shrek.”

Earlier this year, Councilman Kwame Kenyatta accused Conyers of making fun of his poor hearing and lack of a college degree in a confrontation outside his office. Kenyatta also said Conyers had started rumors about him having cancer.

Monica Conyers also came under fire after the city’s pension board said she owed the city $5,600 in unpaid travel advances from last year.

With her guilty plea today, Monica Conyers joins former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick in the ranks of now disgraced Motor City politicians.

Following a long, winding investigation that convulsed city politics, Kilpatrick, son of Rep. Carolyn Kilpatrick (D-Mich.), pleaded guilty last year to obstruction of justice charges, resigned from office and served more than three months in jail.

The House ethics committee announced on Wednesday that Carolyn Kilpatrick would be among the five lawmakers that it would investigate as part of its probe into who paid for Caribbean trips in 2007 and 2008.

The revolution has questions for Rep. Conyers.
    Lots of them.
For starters, his financial disclosure statements are, shall we say, a great fictional read.
In Congress since 1965, the earliest reported income reported by Conyers was 1993 at $48,000. His last financial statement, in 2015 put his net worth at -$48,000. However, it is widely known that up to 2011 Conyers was the "earmark king" with literally Billions in tax money set aside for pork in the Congressman's district. Several investigations have shown that a nice chunk of that earmark money floated into Conyers vaults, although he has never been charged with crimes connected with his activities.
Conyers net worth is put at $10 Million by opensecrets.org.
The revolution would like to know more about all of this.
His reputation for sexual scandal and nepotism

Yes. I guess we expected Republicans to have a higher standard than to elect those known to be interested in children sexually. I apologize for being wrong on that account.

Texas Congressman Joe Barton apologizes for nude photo

Texas Congressman Joe Barton apologizes for nude photo
[IMG] Associated Press 8 hours ago
DALLAS (AP) — Texas Congressman Joe Barton apologized on Wednesday after a nude photo of him circulated on social media.

Barton issued a statement saying that while separated from his second wife, prior to their divorce in 2015, he had sexual relationships "with other mature adult women." The 68-year-old Republican said each relationship was consensual and has since ended.

"I am sorry I did not use better judgment during those days. I am sorry that I let my constituents down," Barton, the longest-serving member of Congress from Texas, said in a statement released to the media.

The photo appeared on an anonymous Twitter account. It was not immediately known who posted the photo or when it was taken. Barton didn't respond to phone message left Wednesday by The Associated Press at his offices in Texas seeking comment. The voicemail for his office in Washington was full.

His spokeswoman told The Dallas Morning News that Barton has no plans to step down.

Barton, a member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, announced his re-election bid this month. His district includes several counties in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Barton was a consultant in the oil and gas industry before he joined the U.S. House in 1985.

Barton is currently the vice chairman of the powerful House Energy and Commerce committee. He was the committee's chairman from 2004 until 2007.

The Texas congressman has also been the longtime manager of the GOP congressional baseball team. He was taking part in a team practice in June when a gunman opened fire, injuring a congressman and others.

This situation totally sucks. The guy had a consentual relationship with a woman, exchanged messages and pics, and the whole thing went south. Then when he broke it off she puts the pics online. Nothing anyone should be getting up in arms about but him as the wronged person. Could happen to anyone in a relationship that goes into the shitter. I hope it doesn't screw up his life permanently.

Some Democrat and Some Republican politicians have been guilty of abusing their power in order to sexually harass and abuse women, and in some cases teenage girls.

Democrats are delighted when a Republican politician is exposed as being guilty of this practice.

Republicans are delighted when a Democrat politician is exposed as being guilty of this practice.

Democrats and Republicans should agree that the practice is morally wrong. We should all be glad that it is no longer considered to be acceptable behavior.

The sexual harassment and abuse of teenage girls and women has not been restricted to powerful men. Men of all classes and income groups have been guilty, but not all of us.

In John 8:7 Jesus says, "So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."

    Here is my stone:

    stone.jpg

I choose to cast it at Roy Moore.

I have never been guilty of sexual abuse, or even the mildest kind of sexual harassment. :angelic:

I have always found that kind of behavior offensive.
