When you live next to a Native American reservation you see white privilege in action every day.

And even though no fool will any fool can just look at this thread and my input on it and know it is all an acknowledgement of white privilege including my own.

 

Did quite a bit of work around Native reservations. I saw a helluva lot of Indian privilege. They played, I worked. They drank, I worked.
They partied and told me their salaries they didn't work for. I worked. They were given free housing and land. I worked to buy mine.

Please. You think that somewhere you moved to later in life is the only place racial differences exist or makes you some kind of expert? And what exactly does that have to do with the article after article you post about white and black people or white and Latino people?

Ummm no it isn't an acknowledgement. It's a deflection of your own white privilege onto whoever you're directing your faux moral outrage at that day. The fact that you say shit like "we" as if it's a collective effort despite doing nothing to put your money where your mouth is is an example of your own white privilege.

I've been around what you all ignorantly label poor people the majority of my life. I've been in plenty of situations where racial tensions among people without money showed themselves. I've been subjected to anti-white bullshit. I have seen life from plenty of different angles just by spending time among different people on their own turf or whatever you'd like to call it. Yet I don't make this shit about myself the way you do. Do you know why that is? Because none of that is all that unique. I've known plenty of people who actually grew up in changing lower-income neighborhoods. I would never try to speak for or over them.

Yeah this is exactly the same kind of prejudice I see every day. Most Native Americans work if they can find someone that will give them a job. Most Native Americans don't drink. And what they get in housing and payments is what the federal government owes for the land they stole and held the money in trust.

 

None of them wanted to work. They didn't have to. They were given I believe 33K per year each, and that was back in the 1980's.
They drank like sailors on leave, and scoffed at us working fools.

Maybe things have changed since then. I hope so.

Actually, now that I think about it....

"Allies" like @submissivelyspeaking , @stumbler , and @anon_de_plume basically ensure that white privilege and racism will continue to be as much of a problem as possible by making everything political and doing nothing but slinging insults at "conservatives" rather than engaging them as human beings because it prevents white people from having the conversations that we all need to have. So if you're really about eradicating white privilege rather than just talking about it (and I won't even get into the whole not practicing what you preach thing) then you should stop being combative and posting articles are start engaging your fellow white people who are actually reasonable.

We both know you aren't engaging them elsewhere.
