I actually consider myself pretty vanilla. I just never thought that anything Ive done as anything other than pretty normal.

Threesomes, group sex, partner swapping too many one night stands. I mean this seriously, obviously I was aware that this wasnt the way a lot of people had things but for me it was normal, it was my normal, my reality.

So I think that the word Freak works in comparison only and even then the goal posts shift.

I am extremely curious about other people and their "freakiness". Wish I had the guts to be more open with my own but it simply wouldn't be accepted.

I think (and this is just my opinion) that not even the anonymity of the internet is enough to speak freely to others about our deepest and darkest desires. Not a lot of people out there is going to admit to bestiality, pedophilia or necrophilia (and that's just of the top of my head, there are things waaay more messed up than those three)

 

Some people here are optimistic which I would expect from this enlightened crowd, but I think probably to much so.
I don't know if the average Joe and Jane Blow would really be into wife sharing, swinging and orgies. Never mind anything beyond that.
It's a shame really because many people are missing out on a good time, but a judgemental society can really hold people down.

 

Everyone has something they like that someone else thinks is freaky.
I've run into people I know at "parties" and both of us thought the other would be the last person you'd think was into that.
I don't hide what I'm into but I don't go running around advertising it either.
Have you noticed that the ones who go around spouting fire and brimstone and the moral decay of modern society are the ones who get caught doing the things they condemn.

 

Coming from a smaller town there are no open sexual groups. No bdsm meets. People here are too worried about looking as if they are better than everyone and got their shit together. Or being jealous or selfish of one that may seem more put together. Kinky or freaky for most here would be viewed as being a Whore or a Slut or just a all around bad person. Especially if your a parent or anything. How dare you like anything kinky or sexual. If you even tlk of it...well i can't say wat they would say cause i don't do it. Needless to say i associate with very few. Haha i may like some flavor other than vanilla excuse me!!!! Lol

 

Good point. My perception is skewed. I've never lived in a small town, I've always worked at universities and hung out with open-minded crowds. But at the same, that's the way I want it. Those are choices I've made.

 

I look like a sweet and innocent slightly chubby nerd. Lol. Though most at school know how freaky I can be.

 

Over the years they have only seen me as a goody two shoes type.

Interesting how so many people say they are from small towns "where nothing is happening" so they have to travel to find likable freaks. My experience has been there are groups in almost all towns of folk who like to push the sexual envelope just like there is a place or two in almost all small towns where you can score at least semi-heavy drugs. Maybe things have changed since I hung up my suitcase but I doubt they became purer. I spent some time north of San Francisco -- around UC Davis -- back in the late 50's and again in the mid 60's. There were lots of people who wanted to get their freak on. Their "freak" was tame by some of today's. As for people who know me as my 77 year old self, I doubt they notice the twinkle in my eye from enjoying my freak for most of my life.

 

I see your point. You're right, there are a lot of "freaks" in the small towns. It just seems to be harder to find them, because they're mostly staying very private about it. And a lot of us from those places, even if we get in with those people, don't want or need the hassle of being gossiped about. There's generally only one or two degrees of separation between everyone.

 

Personally id say im average on a scale of 1-10, but with no standard to base things off of there isnt really a way to judge things. Ive been with women who outside of the bedroom played the part, yet once the clothes came off they were boring, yet on the other hand for an example, my buddy's GF sweet and innocent girl next door type, to most who know her she seems like she would be boring, there was only one time where my buddy really mentioned anything that surprised me and that was that she liked to be tied up or choked, then when they decided to open up their relationship i was the friend they invited in and i never would have imagined she would be into getting tag teamed by two guys, you can never really tell.
