So I bumped into an ex-neighbor at the mall today. He's 42, athletic built,.little gray all around a full head of hair and very healthy. So he tells me about a 24yo girl at his job that is just gaga for him. She's been really coming on strong to him. Come to find out, he learned that she is only attracted to men in their mid 30's and up. I can remember girls in HS and early college that went out with men in that range or so. Let me guess. He lives in a nice house and drives a nice car. He knows "how to treat a woman" which means he takes her to nice restaurants and buys her nice things. There's a name for these women - gold diggers.

There's also plenty of women who want nothing more than to stay home and have babies and that's fine endeavor. If I had children I would have wanted it that way. But to be a stay at home mom you have to have a husband who can support the family on his income alone. This has become increasingly rare and so some women turn to older men who are more financially set.

And then there's the ones that have daddy issues.

I have known one woman who was genuinely attracted to older men. She was a mid-life "surprise" baby and her brothers were 15 and 20 years older than her. Her parents were more like her grandparents. So most people would normally be attracted to someone in the age range of their brothers and sisters - 5 or so years older or younger. Well, so was she. The men she was attracted to were the age of her brothers.

 

If a girl or women is in her 20's that is nothing, and not young!

As a man of 36, get girls in there 20's is nothing, happens all of the time. I have been screwing a co-workers young daughter who works in our office as part of a school work program, kind of like a paid internship. My first relationship was with a 36 year old guy when I was 17. My last relationship was with a 57 year old (I was 37). I have always been drawn to older, more experienced men. It's not a money thing (I have plenty of my own thankyou) and I'd like to think it's not a daddy thingeek, for me it's just been something I prefer.

Ive been wondering about this age difference phenomenon for the last few weeks, ever since a a very young friend of the family came to me and my wife and asked to expand her relationship from that of a "niece" to that of a lover.
