Yet another plane has been swallowed up by this phenomenon on a flight from Puerto Rico to Miami and at an altitude of 24 thousand feet simply vanished from radar. 4 people are missing and presumed dead although the coast guard is on site and searching.

Debris has been recovered and identified by mechanics as a match to the missing plane but one thing that struck me is, and I am not an investigator but one of the pieces appeared to be held together with what appeared to be duct tape although may simply be a heat shield of some sort so I will reserve judgement for now.

I do find the Triangle folklore interesting.

So if they have debris already , it's not a disappearance mystery ,
it's just another tragic air accident , like anywhere else in the world.

Because planes fall out of the sky at 24 thousand feet all the time and they have a couple small pieces of what appear to be a plane.

lol , fortunately , no they don't do it all the time.
No one would fly if they did , but unfortunately they do occasionally.

As well as being a CEO of a company she was on some reality type home fix it program too a few years back.

But not single by the look of it.

Small plane carrying family vanishes in Bermuda Triangle
    Screenshot_253.jpg upload_2017-5-17_13-33-45.gif
On board were 40-year-old Skylight CEO Jennifer Blumin, her 4- and 3-year-old sons and her boyfriend, Nathan Ulrich, 52, of Lee, NH, authorities and family members said.

Ulrich, an Ivy-League-educated former Coast Guard auxiliarist, is the ex-husband of actress Rae Dawn Chong.

Later Tuesday, the Coast Guard said the debris field appeared to be from the missing plane and the search for survivors was continuing.

Blumin’s ex, the boys’ father, is James Ramsey, a top Manhattan designer behind a planned Lower East Side underground park dubbed the Lowline.

“We’re waiting for the Coast Guard to tell us whether our grandchildren and our children are alive,’’ said a distraught man answering the phone at the home of Blumin’s parents in Tarrytown, Westchester.

“We’re waiting with bated breath for the Coast Guard to call.”

The plane, owned by Blumin, took off from Rafael Hernandez Airport in Aguadilla, PR, at
    11:08 a.m. Monday, officials said.

Ulrich’s last Instagram posting was from an organic Puerto Rican restaurant the day before — on Mother’s Day.

“Mother of a day @cartabuena #rincon,’’ his post reads.

The plane was supposed to land for refueling at the Space Coast Regional Airport in Titusville, Fla., at 2:44 p.m., according to aviation records.

But about a half-hour before its scheduled landing, the plane disappeared from the radar of Miami air-traffic controllers.

The MU-2B aircraft was at 24,000 feet and traveling 345 mph when it vanished 37 miles east of the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas, officials said.

“There’s no indication of significant adverse weather at the time,” said Coast Guard spokesman Lt. Cmdr. Ryan Kelly.

The Coast Guard tweeted Tuesday afternoon that one of its helicopters located a “debris field approx. 15 mi E of Eleuthera, Bahamas.”

An aircraft seat was among the floating debris, said Coast Guard spokesman Eric Woodall.

“They recovered a few things to ID [the plane] and help the investigation,” Woodall said. The chopper lowered a would-be rescuer to grab the items

“Search for survivors continues,” the Coast Guard tweeted.

Woodall added, “We’re searching as long as we think we can find them alive.”

Relatives of the missing were numb.

“Right now we’re still dealing with the uncertainty,” UIrich’s father told The Post through tears.

“We have nothing other than they’re still searching.”

Chong, the daughter of Tommy Chong of Cheech & Chong fame, tweeted, “My ex-hubby’s (Nathan Ulrich) plane is missing over the Bermuda Triangle. I am sad and in shock. So send prayers to his family.
    Thanks.”

She told The Post, “We’re all in massive shock.

“He’s a really, really, really good pilot,’’ she said. “For him to be missing, that’s not good.’’

The pilot’s brother, Walter Ulrich, 48, of Manhattan, said he’s trying to remain optimistic.

“I hope he’s treading water somewhere in the Caribbean,’’ Walter said. “He’s an experienced pilot.” Still, “it doesn’t look good right now.”

“We’re waiting for the Coast Guard to tell us whether our grandchildren and our children are alive’’

Blumin is the owner of Skylight Studios, an ultra-hip event producer that caters to the film and fashion industries.

She owns a home on White Street, down the block from the design studio of her ex, Ramsey. The home went up for sale last week.

Neighbors at a property Blumin owns in Southold, LI, said she purchased the stunning waterfront home last year.

“Oh, God, it’s just terrible, just awful,’’ said next-door neighbor Sam Wilkenson, 88. “This was going to be their first full summer here,’’ he said of Blumin and her children. “Those little kids. And she’s a young woman! Terrible! Just terrible.”

According to a 2105 New York Times story, Blumin’s and Ramsey’s older son is named Phineas; the younger son is Theodore.

A source said Ramsey “was already so depressed about the breakup” with Blumin.

Ulrich’s ex, Chong, said she met Blumin through him.

“I love him,’’ she said of Ulrich. “He’s a really kind person, and [Blumin] is an adorable woman, and the kids are great.

This story has me freaked out for so many reasons and I know that optimism is a handy tool, it may be of little consequence here and I will offer my pre-emptive condolences at this time and hold onto hope that there will be survivors found.

This is another example of six degree's of separation for me as I know Nathan from when he was married to Rae, whose dad Tommy and I have been friends forever and he and her were both born where I now call home in Edmonton but Tommy and I went to the same high school in Calgary but at different times. I have known Rae for years and met Nathan a few times during their marriage and continue to associate with the family still in Alberta. Never met the woman in question but that doesn't make this any less tragic and my condolences to her family as well.

First I make a thread about a plane crash just before boarding a flight across the Atlantic and then get this news via email during the night about a plane disappearance, weird how that all adds up ...

The Bermuda Triangle is a myth. Planes crash and ships sink. It's tragic but true. "Lost at Sea" is a real thing no matter what ocean we talk about. This area sees a lot of traffic and has for hundreds of years and that accounts for the large number of incidents there.

I have read stories about methane pockets on the seabed that make boat bouyancy difficult at times and may contribute to ships going down in certain parts but that does not explain the electro-magnetic activity that interrupts instrumentation on planes ...

We have an electro magnetic anomaly here , so it's not that rare in reality.
Here , I discovered it when first had a boat with auto pilot.
In a certain area , it would always go off course , though at all other times was accurate and reliable.

Although it is in a high traffic area , it doesn't cause any real problems , as is essential you're on watch in the area anyway , at all times , and most would not have their pilot on in that area.
( as you should be anyway , and are required to be by international law)
[I used to be on pilot as was fishing single handed , so would be preparing going out , or cleaning and packing coming in]

Also , yes , any area with lots of bubbles , rising gas etc. causes loss of buoyancy and stability issues.
Hence , areas of high turbulence can cause problems also.
(we all know boats don't float on gas or air)

But there is really no mystery about any of those things.

    Interesting.

I get that too at times when I fly my helicopter in the foothills and mountains with heavy mineral deposits. My instrumentation has gone wonky on me a few times but not to a point where I lost stick control.
