The reality of the situation is, no one on Trump's transition team thought there would be a problem with the Russians. After all, working with the Russians during the campaign had turned out to be a great deal for them.

Yes indeed. Flynn's clearance was last reissued by the Obama administration in 2016 with full knowledge of his activities that occurred in 2015.

True but in fact its even worse than this. Trump and his administration are trying to blame the Obama for not properly vetting Flynn when it was not their job to vet Flynn before Trump hired Flynn. That was Trump and his administration's job and they were actually required to do a new security clearance review before Flynn was named NSA. And they either didn't do that which means they didn't follow procedures or they did and they are now lying about that. And most people are betting on the later.

Also note the lie the Trump supporters are trying to tell that somehow its President Obama's fault for giving Flynn a top security clearance. When all the Obama administration did was renew Flynn's security clearance which is pretty routine when someone is willing to lie.

So don't ever let it be said that conservatives believe in "personal responsibility." Because Trump and his supporters refusing to take any personal responsibility proves that's just another lie of the lie of conservatism as it is preached and practiced in this nation. And instead what they really do is constantly play the victim.
