The English have travelled across the World to fight, we have no reservations on that front.

We do have a different mentality to the USA in so much that we do not seek a fair fight, we are happy to shoot you in the back or while you sleep.

If we wanted to perform some kind of ethnic cleansing it wouldn't take very long with our military......

We CHOOSE to live alongside the MILLIONS of muslims that are not extremists and have come to our country for safety and a better life.

We WANT them to have their religious freedom.

We RESPECT their human rights

This might be slightly off topic but being raised in our US ethnocentric environment I also came to believe that we Americans were the hard fighting heroes and the British were more like limp wrist pansies too sophisticated to really get right down and fight. But then I became captivated by an old BBC series called the World At War and other World War II documentaries. And holy shit was I wrong. The campaigns in North Africa. The campaign in Burma. Hitting the beaches at Normandy. The RAF defending Brittan until very close to the last plane and man. And double holy shit the British Commandos who actually were the blue print for our own special forces and Navy Seals. And so just very recently I happened to mention that to my dad who was actually stationed in Britain during World War II. And he told me that one thing he and many others learned early in Britain was to be just as polite, civilized, and sophisticated as they were. Or get your ass hauled outside and get the living fuck kicked right out of you.

So yes a pretty big misconception there.

And another huge misconception we still harbor is that we defeated the British Empire during our revolutionary war. Not even close. Britain was fighting a global world war against multiple nations and they simply cut their Americans cousins loose because they were willing to lose that battle in order to win the world war. Which they did.

Also on a personal note one time years ago on this forum when I was hurling insults at a guy that wo0ld become my good friend Music Machine he said you just keep insulting me and I will just keep smiling politely. Until I can get my hand on my hammer and bash our fucking skull in. And you know right then and there was my first inling I might have the Brits figured all wrong.

Disclaimer: the following is just a bunch of thoughts thrown together and made sense in my head but may not as you read it !!! That debate is as old as humanity and the chances of getting clear cut tangible or physical proof can't be said to be an impossibility but a pretty good bet that it is at the least an improbability, but if there were such a thing as a supreme being that entity could take any shape they chose. WHY would that entity want that anyway if they are all knowing all seeing already and know that there are skeptics that walk the earth ... AND here comes your answer as well, he/she it/them included "free will" in all living creatures to aid in the learning curve as we age/mature and since the majority of beings learn the difference between right and wrong and good and bad. That is his/her/it/them's biggest gift to us as we move forward without the need to have said entity babysit us lol. Free will is your "babysitter".

That also raises the debate as to whether or not our lives are not written until we live that part but I believe that it is scripted (predetermined) and we are just playing along ... and we choose a certain path because that is what we were intended to do anyway, hence the "trust your first instincts" phrase. Not necessarily part of the free will debate ...

I have long said that if there is a god, why do churches need alarm systems and locks ???

Some will stumble and others will rise to a level of greatness guided by what is already inside of most people's grey matter in order to determine their place in the pecking order or food chain, it all depends on your idea of what is right and wrong that decides if you will live in relative peace or go to war in support of your beliefs. We need bad people on earth or we would never expand our reasoning or principles and would have nothing to gauge where we stand in the morals/scruples department. Maybe the creator of all things had the odd really bad day when the "fuck it, that's good enough for now" decision was made as far as DNA coding of all things and some slipped through the cracks lol.

Bla bla bla, you are free to believe that a God in some shape or form exists are not, it is your decision alone. Organized religion is the biggest fuck up ever allowed on this earth and is one huge contradiction ... BUT if you remain rational and choose to believe that there is a God and a Heaven and keep those beliefs to yourself or to those that ask you for your thoughts without cramming it down peoples throats and it makes you a better person and allows you to live with happiness and the hope that you may "go to a better place", sobeit, no harm no foul.

NOW to my personal opinion ... I truly believe in a Devil and that it manifests itself in those exact things that we as rational human beings can not comprehend, such as senseless killing, mass destruction, tyranny and all those other fun things that most of us were given the tools to gain the knowledge and decide we do not wish to be like that. Some are just hardwired to do Lucifer's bidding ... brandi is one in that flock of devils messengers. I would include Nicole in that flock IF evil and stupidity were one in the same but she is only the latter as are more than a few others that answer one of life's greatest questions; "can I live with myself if I do that", some can, most rethink it.

BUT Lucifer was once an angel of good, until the day he wasn't lol. The rest is history as they say so if you believe in the Devil, by default you must believe in God to a certain extent, which I really really really want to do but I will continue to subscribe to the "could happen" theory.

Religion is a business and nothing else ... and to them "God" is what they tell you it is !!!

Oh ya, I can say with a certain level of certainty that when you go into de-fib that your life does flash before your eyes but it is more a cognitive "unlocking" of all that your brain stores in it that is unleashed in a way that I still to this day can not put properly into words ... I flatlined twice and still have the scars and fibrillator burns to prove it. You don't feel the shock at the time that they administer it/them but you sure the fuck can after the fact and I suggested that if there is ever a need to do that again, they might be just as well off dropping a piano on me lol. You not able to as they say "go to the light" because the light is everywhere but you don't realize that until you are successfully revived when the brain starts processing the occurrence. I have spoken about this a few times with scientists at the U of A hospital so that they may further learn about something that one technically needs to be dead to learn as well as myself being able to accept what happened. There are actually experiments where they do just that, kill you and then bring you back ... all in the name of science. I didn't volunteer for mine though lol.

Bottom line is that whatever allows you to sleep at night is your higher power. My sweety is my "god" per se as she is the sole person that gives me the peace that alluded me until the day last year that we reunited and have only spent 5 days apart in the last year(ish). She makes me a better person and that is "god's" intended purpose, is it not ???

Nowhere does the New Testament command violence as a way of spreading the Christian faith, or even state that violence is an acceptable method.

In the Old Testament violence is only recommended to conquer and maintain a fairly small sliver of land boarding the Mediterranean Sea.
